Smart has scored 9.3 points per game while shooting 47.6 percent from the field and playing 23 minutes per game in his three straight starts.

Nets' Deron Williams (tailbone) hopeful to play in Game 4 Monday
by R.J. White | CBSSports.com
(10:08 am ET) Nets point guard Deron Williams suffered a bruised tailbone after a hard fall midway through the third quarter of Saturday's game and did not return, The Record reports. He said he'd hopefully be healthy and ready for Game 4 Monday in Brooklyn.

Williams remained in the game initially after suffering the fall, but after a missed shot and a turnover he went to the bench and didn't see any action for the rest of the game. Jarrett Jack came in to orchestrate an 18-0 run that helped lead the Nets to their first win of the series.

"It’s frustrating," Williams said. "It’s frustrating for me to be banged up, but we won tonight. And like I said, that’s the only thing that matters. Brook (Lopez) had a heck of a game tonight, you know, on both ends of the floor, rebounding. He did everything tonight. Joe (Johnson), big plays."

Jack finished with five points, eight assists and five rebounds in 27 minutes of action.

"I just try to be ready when my number is called," Jack said. "We have a hell of a starting point guard in D-Will. Right now, he’s a little bit banged up. So if I have to come in to give him some relief I try to do the best I can. I know he’s took a number of bumps and bruises, he’s got back, tailbone, fingers, knee. But the kid is tough, he’s resilient. He’s battling through it, fighting through it, still giving us a pretty good charge for it. Hats off to him, and I’m sure he’s going to have a great game coming up Monday and, if not, I’m there to help him out, as well."
