Patrick Beverley fights through knee trouble

(1:55 am ET) Though Rockets guard Patrick Beverley appeared to suffer a setback in his injured knee in the team's postseason opener, he played through it Wednesday, in Game 2 against the Trail Blazers.

Beverley played 41 minutes and didn't seem particularly bothered by the injury. He scored 14 points on 5 of 11 shooting, and added two rebounds, two assists and one steal, without turning the ball over in a 112-105 loss.


Al Jefferson turns in gutsy double-double

(1:52 am ET) Bobcats center Al Jefferson is going to have to play through pain for however long the team's postseason run goes, as he suffered yet another setback in his strained left plantar fascia in Game 2 against the Heat Wednesday.

Jefferson felt the tear in his foot worsen during the course of the game, and had to go back to the locker room for treatment at one point. He still managed to play 40 minutes in the game, though he shot just 9 for 23 en route to 18 points and 13 rebounds in a 101-97 loss.

Jefferson has vowed to continue to play through the injury, telling reporters doctors have cleared him. The injury is an issue of pain tolerance at this point, and he cannot do further long-term damage.


Mario Chalmers plays well despite injury

(1:49 am ET) Heat guard Mario Chalmers was able to play through a bruised shin in Game 2 against the Bobcats Wednesday, an he didn't seem particularly bothered by the injury.

Chalmers played 30 minutes and played well, scoring 11 points on 3 of 7 shooting, with a pair of 3-pointers made. He also added two rebounds and three assists, as the Heat took a 2-0 series lead, 101-97.


Jeremy Lin non-participant at Tuesday practice

(4/22/2014) The Rockets practiced Tuesday without guard Jeremy Lin, who was sidelined with an illness according to the Houston Chronicle. He is listed as day-to-day ahead of Wednesday's Game 2 against Portland.

Lin scored 14 points, grabbed four rebounds and dished out four assists in Game 1 Sunday. The Rockets could be especially thin at point guard if Patrick Beverley misses the game due to his knee injury, but the latest indication is that he'll be able to go. 


Mario Chalmers questionable for Game 2

(4/22/2014) Miami may have won its playoff opener, but the team did not come away unscathed. Guard Mario Chalmers is considered questionable for Wednesday's Game 2 dealing with a bruised knee, the Miami Herald reports.

Chalmers sustained the injury in the first quarter of Sunday's game but was able to finish. Coach Erik Spoelstra said he "did make progress" during time off. The Heat takes on the Bobcats at home again on Wednesday.


Blake Griffin pours 35 points in Game 2 win over Warriors

(4/22/2014) Clippers forward Blake Griffin put together a dominant effort on Monday, scoring a game-high 35 points in his team's 138-98 victory over the Warriors in Game 2 of the opening round of the playoffs.

Griffin shot 13 of 17 from the floor, and 9 of 10 from the charity stripe. He also chipped in with six rebounds, one assist and two steals while logging 30 minutes of game action. He has combined for 51 points, nine rebounds and four assists through his first two postseason games.

Chris Paul doubles up in Game 2 win

(4/22/2014) Clippers guard Chris Paul worked past a hamstring strain on Monday, notching a double-double in his team's 138-98 victory over Golden State in Game 2.

Paul scored 12 points on 4 of 10 from the floor, including 2 of 4 from downtown, and 2 of 2 from the charity line. He completed a double-double with 10 assists, also adding six rebounds and five steals while logging 27 minutes of game action. He's combined for 40 points, 18 assists and 13 rebounds over his first two games of the season.

Beno Udrih adds spark in double overtime win over Thunder

(4/21/2014) Grizzlies guard Beno Udrih added a spark off the bench in place of a suspended Nick Calathes on Monday, scoring 14 points in a 111-105 double overtime victory over the Thunder in Game 2 of the opening round of the playoffs.

Udrih shot 6 of 8 from the floor, and 2 of 2 from the charity stripe. He also chipped in with three rebounds and two assists over 14 minutes of game action. He has combined for 17 points through his first two postseason games.

Kevin Durant drops 36 points in double overtime loss

(4/21/2014) Thunder forward Kevin Durant went off on Monday, scoring a game-high 36 points in a 111-105 overtime defeat to the Grizzlies in Game 2 of the opening round of the playoffs.

Durant shot 12 of 28 from the floor, including 5 of 12 from downtown, and 7 of 8 from the charity stripe. He chipped in with 11 rebounds, four assists and two blocks while logging 45 minutes of game action.

Serge Ibaka works past leg cramps with double-double

(4/21/2014) Thunder forward Serge Ibaka made a brief exit Monday due to cramps, but returned and notched a double-double in his team's 111-105 overtime loss to the Grizzlies in Game 2 of the opening round of the playoffs.

Ibaka scored 15 points on 6 of 12 from the floor, including 1 of 2 from downtown, and 2 of 2 from the charity stripe. He completed the double-double with 11 boards, four of which came from the offensive end of the glass. He also chipped in with one assists, five blocks and one steal while logging 47 minutes.
