Nuggets forward Darrell Arthur out again on Friday

(8:31 pm ET) Nuggets forward Darrell Arthur will miss Friday's game against the Jazz while dealing with a calf injury, reports the Denver Post.

Arthur, who is averaging 6.6 points and 2.9 rebounds per game, also missed Wednesday's game with the injury. He has played four of the last seven games with the injury.


Rockets forward Donatas Motiejunas to miss one to two weeks

(8:16 pm ET) Rockets forward Donatas Motiejunas is expected to miss one to two weeks while dealing with a lower back injury, the team announced. 

Motiejunas picked up the injury in Wednesday's game, but played through it. He has played nearly every game this season for Houston, averaging 12.0 points and 5.9 rebounds in 71 games.


Knicks guard Jose Calderon in walking boot for Achilles injury

(8:12 pm ET) Knicks point guard Jose Calderon was spotted in a walking boot Friday and is expected to remain in it for 10 more days, reports the New York Post.

Calderon, who suffered the Achilles' injury at the end of February, said he doesn't like his chances of returning to the floor this season, but wouldn't rule it out. He is averaging 9.1 points and 4.7 assists per game.


Nuggets forward Danilo Gallinari will play Friday

(8:09 pm ET) Nuggets forward Danilo Gallinari will play in Friday's game against the Jazz, coach Melvin Hunt said before the game.

Gallinari suffered a shoulder injury at the end of the third quarter of Wednesday's game and did not return. Gallinari was considered questionable for the contest. The Nuggets are currently 2-point favorites.


Hawks forward Mike Scott out of walking boot for toe injury

(7:24 pm ET) Hawks forward Mike Scott is no longer in a walking boot for a toe injury and was seen taking shots in shootaround Friday, reports the Atlanta Journal Constitution.

Scott has been in the boot since injuring the toe March 11 and had an original timetable of 2-to-4 weeks to recover.

"He did a tiny bit on the court," coach Mike Budenholzer said. "He stretched and warmed up. I think they let him job gingerly. But I think it’s good that he is out of the boot and he is moving a little bit."


Timberwolves guards Kevin Martin, Ricky Rubio out for Friday

(7:21 pm ET) Timberwolves guards Kevin Martin (hamstring) and Ricky Rubio (ankle) will not play in Friday's game against the Rockets, the team announced.

Martin, who will dress but is not expected to be used, has missed the last two games with the hamstring injury and is averaging 20.2 points per game. 

Rubio has missed the last four games with the ankle injury and six of the last seven. He is averaging 10.3 points and 8.8 assists per game.


Mavericks forward Richard Jefferson active for Friday's game

(7:12 pm ET) Mavericks forward Richard Jefferson will be active for Friday's game against the Spurs after initially being reported as out, according to coach Rick Carlisle.

Jefferson, who is averaging 5.5 points and 2.6 rebounds per game, has been dealing with back spasms and will try to give it a go. The Mavericks are currently 9-point underdogs.


Rockets forward Terrence Jones could return to action next week

(7:07 pm ET) Rockets forward Terrence Jones could return to action on the court by next week if he is able to practice, reports the Houston Chronicle.

Jones, who suffered a partially collapsed lung eight days ago, began doing work on the stationary bike Friday in hopes of getting back before the playoffs begin. 

"Hopefully, if all goes well, get a couple of practices in me, I could be out there as early as next week," Jones said.

He has played just 25 games this season while dealing with various injuries.


Rockets forward Kostas Papaniklolaou still 7-to-10 days from return

(7:03 pm ET) Rockets forward Kostas Papanikolaou is still bothered by ankle ankle injury and is expected to need another 7-to-10 days to recover, coach Kevin McHale said according to to the team.

Papanikolaou, who is averaging 4.4 points and 2.8 rebounds per game, has missed the last 16 games while dealing with the ankle injury. 


Timberwolves F Kevin Garnett out Friday

(6:56 pm ET) Timberwolves forward Kevin Garnett, who was already listed as doubtful with a knee injury, will not play Friday against the Rockets and is not even at the arena due to an illness that has sidelined the veteran for several days, per the Minneapolis Star Tribune

Coach Flip Saunders said that Garnett has been sick for the last five days and will meet the team after the game to get on the plane for the team's next contest, at the Pelicans on Sunday. Garnett has played sparingly since coming over to the Wolves in a trade. 

The Timberwolves are currently 13 1/2-point underdogs.
