Heat PF Chris Andersen sprains ankle in win vs. Hornets

(10:15 pm ET) Heat power forward Chris Andersen suffered a sprained ankle in the first quarter of his team's 94-93 win over the Hornets Sunday and did not return.

X-rays on the injured ankle came back negative, the team announced. Andersen finished the game with just two minutes of action to his credit and zeroes across the board in his stat line. The Heat are set to face the Warriors Tuesday.


Clippers SF Matt Barnes (calf) plays 19 minutes vs. Grizzlies

(10:12 pm ET) Clippers small forward Matt Barnes scored nine points on 4 of 6 shooting in 19 minutes in his team's 107-91 loss to the Grizzlies Sunday.

Barnes was probable to play in Sunday's game with a calf issue and drew the start but saw his lowest usage total of the season. He also managed two rebounds while knocking down one of his three attempts from behind the arc. The Clippers will look to bounce back Monday against the Hornets.


Grizzlies C Marc Gasol posts 30-12 line vs. Clippers

(10:08 pm ET) Grizzlies center Marc Gasol scored a team-high 30 points on 13 of 18 shooting while grabbing 12 rebounds in his team's 107-91 win over the Clippers Sunday.

Gasol has thrown down back-to-back 30-point performances after failing to reach that scoring level since the regular-season opener. His 72.2 percent shooting performance was his best mark of the season. Gasol also kicked in two blocks and one assist in 34 minutes Sunday. The Grizzlies will look for their seventh win in eight games when they face the Lakers Wednesday.


Grizzlies G Nick Calathes retuns from suspension Sunday

(10:04 pm ET) Grizzlies guard Nick Calathes has finished serving a 20-game suspension and made his season debut Sunday, playing eight minutes off the bench but missing his only shot in his team's 107-91 win over the Clippers.

Calathes missed the last seven games of last season and sat out the team's first 13 games this season before returning Sunday. His return and the improved health of the rest of the roster after multiple players were struck with an illness over the previous week puts the Grizzlies roster at full strength moving forward.


Lakers PF Carlos Boozer ruled out Sunday vs. Nuggets

(9:52 pm ET) Lakers power forward Carlos Boozer has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Nuggets with a shoulder injury. Boozer remains day-to-day.

Grizzlies' Tony Allen, Quincy Pondexter return to action Sunday

(9:50 pm ET) Grizzlies guards Tony Allen and Quincy Pondexter returned to action in their team's 107-91 win over the Clippers Sunday.

Both players had dealt with an illness over the last few days, with Allen being held out two games and Pondexter missing one game. Allen drew the start Sunday scored 12 points on 4 of 9 shooting in the win with five rebounds, one assist and one block in 20 minutes. Pondexter played 21 minutes off the bench, scoring 11 points on 4 of 8 shooting while grabbing two rebounds. Allen and Pondexter get a few days off before facing the Lakers Wednesday.


Grizzlies G Tony Allen returns to starting lineup Sunday

(6:04 pm ET) Grizzlies guard Tony Allen will return to the starting lineup for Sunday's game against the Clippers. Allen missed two games while recovering from an illness that hit many of the players on the Grizzlies roster.

Rockets' Dwight Howard, Patrick Beverley miss practice Sunday

(3:42 pm ET) Rockets center Dwight Howard (knee) and guard Patrick Beverley (hamstring) did not practice Sunday, the Houston Chronicle reports. Both players remain questionable for Monday's game against the Knicks, though Beverley indicated Saturday that he'd play Monday.

Lakers' Carlos Boozer (shoulder) questionable Sunday

(3:40 pm ET) Lakers coach Byron Scott considers forward Carlos Boozer questionable to play Sunday with a shoulder injury, the Los Angeles Daily News reports.

Boozer played just 20 minutes Friday, scoring 12 points and grabbing just one rebound. He sat out practice Saturday with the shoulder issue. Boozer has averaged 13.3 points and 6.5 rebounds in 13 games.
