Mavs rule Parsons (ankle), Chandler (hip) out of Monday's game
by Sean d'Oliveira | CBSSports.com
(12:19 pm ET) The Mavericks ruled forward Chandler Parsons (ankle) and center Tyson Chandler (hip contusion) out of Monday's game against the Pelicans, reports the team's official website.

Parsons is dealing with a sprained ankle, which has caused him to miss the last four games. Forward Richard Jefferson has seen his minutes increase with Parsons sidelined.

Meanwhile, a hip contusion will cause center Tyson Chandler to miss his third straight game. Forwards Amar'e Stoudemire and Charlie Villanueva could see their roles expanded with Chandler sidelined.

The Mavericks are 8 1/2-point favorites.

Report: Multiple teams interested in JaVale McGee
by Sean d'Oliveira | CBSSports.com
(12:08 pm ET) With center JaVale McGee on the verge of being released from the 76ers, ten teams have expressed interest in signing the center, a source told Yahoo Sports.

The 76ers recently acquired McGee in a trade with Denver, but are expected to release him soon. In 23 games, McGee is averaging 4.6 points and 2.7 rebounds.

Heat consider Dragic, Andersen game-time decisions Monday
by Sean d'Oliveira | CBSSports.com
(11:46 am ET) The Heat listed guard Goran Dragic (back spasms) and center Chris Andersen (illness) as questionable for Monday's game against Phoenix, the team announced.

Dragic is suffering from back spams, but is hoping to play against his former team, reports The Palm Beach Post.

"It feels better, hopefully [Monday] I can go," Dragic said. "It's still a game-time decision."

Meanwhile, Andersen is dealing with an illness, which caused him to miss Saturday's contest.

The Heat are 2-point favorites.

Timberwolves unsure if Nikola Pekovic (ankle) will play Monday
by Sean d'Oliveira | CBSSports.com
(11:17 am ET) With Timberwolves center Nikola Pekovic being bothered by an ankle injury, his status for Monday's game against the Clippers is unclear, reports the Los Angeles Times.

Pekovic injured his ankle during Saturday's contest and only played 12 minutes. Center Gorgui Dieng would likely see an expanded role if Pekovic cannot play.

The Timberwolves are 4 1/2-point underdogs.

Report: Suns' Brandon Knight (hip) expected to start Monday
by Sean d'Oliveira | CBSSports.com
(11:12 am ET) Despite leaving Saturday's game with a hip pointer, which is still sore, Suns guard Brandon Knight is expected to start in Monday's game at Miami, reports The Arizona Republic.

In 57 games, Knight is averaging 17.4 points and 5.3 assists. The Suns are 3-point underdogs.

Pistons' Greg Monroe will consider re-signing with Detroit
by Sean d'Oliveira | CBSSports.com
(10:30 am ET) With Pistons center Greg Monroe set to become an unrestricted free agent after the season, his agent said Monroe will consider re-signing with the Pistons, reports Mlive.com.

The Pistons are planning on offering Monroe a contract and can offer more money than other teams. In 2014, Monroe signed a $5.4 million qualifying offer in order to become a free agent in 2015. In 57 games, Monroe is averaging 15.7 points and 10.5 rebounds.

Bulls' Taj Gibson expected to miss one week with ankle injury
by Sean d'Oliveira | CBSSports.com
(10:11 am ET) Bulls forward Taj Gibson was using a walking boot after Sunday's loss to the Clippers and is expected to miss a week, reports the Chicago Tribune.

Gibson injured his ankle during Friday's contest and also missed Sunday's game. In 49 games, he is averaging 10.6 points and 6.6 rebounds. Forward Tony Snell is expected to fill Gibson's role.

Wizards' Bradley Beal reports no pain in return from leg injury
by Sean d'Oliveira | CBSSports.com
(9:45 am ET) After missing eight games because of a leg injury, Wizards guard Bradley Beal was able to play 33 minutes in Saturday's win over the Pistons and reported no pain afterward, reports The Washington Post.

"I felt good, no pain," Beal said. "Just a little winded at the beginning, but eventually I got my legs up under me. It just feels good overall to be playing in general."

Report: 76ers to to waive center JaVale McGee
by Brandon Wise | CBSSports.com
(12:36 am ET) The 76ers are reportedly set to waive center JaVale McGee and allow him to sign with a team in playoff contention, according to Sam Amick of USA Today.

McGee, who is averaging 4.7 points and 2.7 rebounds in 22 games, shot down rumors he was asking for a buyout. If the Sixers were able to beat the March 1 deadline, McGee is eligible to sign with any team and can compete in the postseason.

Pacers' Luis Scola learning to play his role off the bench
by Brandon Wise | CBSSports.com
(12:32 am ET) Pacers forward Luis Scola had a difficult time not being a starter in his first year in Indiana. Now, Scola has learned to deal with his role as a bench player.

"It took me a little while to get used to (playing off the bench)," he said to the team's website. "I obviously would have liked to play better (last season), but I think this year I'm more prepared. I kind of know what's going to happen and I can focus on what I can do on the court instead of focusing on what it would be like if I were to be more on the court.

"When you have a consistent role you get to know what your team is going to do and they know how you play and you know when you're going to get into the game and how many minutes you play. That helps."

Scola is averaging 9.2 points and 6.3 rebounds in 57 games this season.

"Him playing the first part of this season as a starter and getting extended minutes with these teammates really helped him find a rhythm that he didn't have last year with new teammates and an unfamiliar system," coach Frank Vogel said.
