Magic coach says O'Quinn, Harris, and Fournier status unknown
by Brandon Wise | CBSSports.com
(10:42 am ET) Magic coach Jacques Vaughn said Wednesday he does not know if forwards Kyle O'Quinn (ankle) or Tobias Harris (calf) or guard Evan Fournier (quad) would play against the Warriors, according to the Orlando Sentinel

He expects to make a decision closer to gametime.

O'Quinn has only played in one game this season, while Harris has missed the last two with a calf strain.

Report: Knicks concerned Melo could miss rest of road trip
by Brandon Wise | CBSSports.com
(9:57 am ET) Knicks small forward Carmelo Anthony was unable to practice Tuesday and is unlikely to play Wednesday against Dallas or Friday against Oklahoma City, according to the New York Post

Teammate J.R. Smith added that it was tough for Melo to even speak Tuesday.

“To be able to fight through something like that is extremely hard to do,’’ said Smith, who battled back spasms for two weeks in the preseason. “When your back is messed up, it controls everything. You can’t run, can barely walk. In his case [Monday] night, he could barely talk. So we got to figure out a way to do it without him. He said very few words. You could tell the pain he was in.’’

Anthony is averaging 23.2 points and 5.8 rebounds per game, down from last year's 27.4 points and 8.1 rebounds.

Pacers' David West eyeing Friday for return to action
by Brandon Wise | CBSSports.com
(9:45 am ET) Pacers power forward David West is working his way to get back on the court and is hoping that Friday will be that day.

"(Coach Frank Vogel) will make the call," West said after participating in practice Tuesday in San Antonio. "I'll see what he says. (But) I feel good. This last week has been good. No setbacks. The ankle is healthy which is important."

West has been out since Oct. 18 when he sprained his ankle in the preseason.

Bosh: Injuries could be hindering Heat's development
by Brandon Wise | CBSSports.com
(9:25 am ET) Heat center Chris Bosh is still trying to figure out things with his new teammates. However, it is difficult to do so when the injuries on the Heat are piling up left and right. Because of injuries to Danny Granger (hamstring), Dwyane Wade (hamstring), Chris Andersen (ankle), Josh McRoberts (foot) and Luol Deng (wrist), who have all missed portions of the season, it has led to rookies and second-year players seeing an uptick in minutes.

“Maybe right now this is what we need: guys being forced to develop. It’s not easy getting to the point of being a strong unit," Bosh said. "Unfortunately, guys are going to be baptized by fire. Sometimes that’s the best situation to be put in. We’re coming into every game like, ‘Who’s playing tonight?’ It affects the packages we’re going to run and it affects matchups. It requires guys to step up on both ends. Whether we’re doing good or bad, guys are learning.”

Bosh is averaging 21.7 points and 8.8 rebounds per game. Last season, he averaged 16.2 points and 6.6 rebounds.

Nuggets F Darrell Arthur suffers knee contusion Tuesday
by R.J. White | CBSSports.com
(12:41 am ET) Nuggets forward Darrell Arthur exited Tuesday's win over the Bulls with a left knee contusion, the Associated Press reports.

Arthur scored three points on 1 of 5 shooting, including 1 of 4 shooting from three-point range, while playing 14 minutes off the bench. He's considered day to day.

Bulls' Thibodeau: Being cautious with Derrick Rose's hamstring
by R.J. White | CBSSports.com
(11/25/2014) Bulls coach Tom Thibodeau said after Tuesday's game that point guard Derrick Rose would be re-examined after coming out of Tuesday's game with a hamstring injury, ESPNChicago.com reports.

Thibodeau didn't think Rose re-injured his troublesome hamstring, but the team wanted to be cautious and not take a chance on the point guard's health. He played just 10 minutes Tuesday, scoring two points on 1 of 4 shooting.

Nuggets PG Ty Lawson delivers 20-12 line vs. Bulls
by R.J. White | CBSSports.com
(11/25/2014) Nuggets point guard Ty Lawson scored a team-high 20 points on 7 of 16 shooting while dishing out 12 assists in his team's 114-109 win over the Bulls Tuesday.

Lawson has posted double-doubles four times during the Nuggets' five-game winning streak, averaging 17.6 points and 12.8 assists during that stretch. He also tallied three rebounds, one block and a season-high three steals in 35 minutes in the win. The Nuggets will try to stay hot Wednesday in Phoenix.

Bulls SG Jimmy Butler frequents free-throw line vs. Nuggets
by R.J. White | CBSSports.com
(11/25/2014) Bulls shooting guard Jimmy Butler scored a team-high 32 points on 7 of 13 shooting from the field and 18 of 20 shooting from the free-throw line in his team's 114-109 loss to the Nuggets Tuesday.

Butler's previous career high in free throws made was 12 before smashing that personal best Tuesday. He came into the game with an 80.5 percent success rate from the charity stripe before sinking 90 percent of his attempts in the loss. Butler just missed a double-double with nine rebounds, and both his points and rebounds matched season highs. He also kicked in one assist and one steal in his 40 minutes of action. The Bulls move on to face the Celtics Friday.

Bucks F Jabari Parker highly efficient in win over Pistons
by Larry Hartstein | CBSSports.com
(11/25/2014) Bucks rookie forward Jabari Parker scored 14 points on 7 of 10 shooting in Tuesday's win over Detroit. He grabbed nine rebounds, five offensive, and added two assists, a steal and a block.

Parker came into the game shooting 44.4 percent from the field after having gone 8 for 23 in his previous two contests. He'll try to stay efficient Wednesday at Minnesota.

Pistons F Josh Smith solid Tuesday except at the foul line
by Larry Hartstein | CBSSports.com
(11/25/2014) Pistons forward Josh Smith recorded a double-double (11 points, 10 rebounds) in Tuesday's loss at Milwaukee, but he was atrocious from the foul line, making 2 of 10. Smith shot 4 of 10 from the field and added eight assists, three blocks and a steal.

Smith has hit 41.4 percent (24 of 58) of his free throws this season. He'll play the Clippers on Wednesday.
