Report: Timberwolves' Ricky Rubio to return to action Monday

(7:50 pm ET) Timberwolves point guard Ricky Rubio will make his return to the court Monday against the Mavericks in Dallas, the Associated Press reports.

Rubio has been out since Nov. 7 while recovering from an ankle injury that has limited him to just five games this season. He has averaged 9.4 points and 10.0 assists while shooting 42.6 percent from the field.


Timberwolves' Mo Williams, Zach LaVine sidelined Saturday

(7:48 pm ET) Timberwolves point guards Mo Williams (hip) and Zach LaVine (ankle) will not play in Saturday's game against the Cavaliers, the team announced.

Williams is missing his third straight game, his second due to his hip injury. LaVine was able to play through his ankle injury Friday, finishing with just five points in 25 minutes.

The Timberwolves are 10 1/2-point home underdogs against the Cavaliers Saturday.


Mavericks PG Rajon Rondo (head) will not return Saturday

(7:37 pm ET) Mavericks point guard Rajon Rondo suffered a head injury in Saturday's game against the Magic and will not return, the team announced.

Rondo took an inadvertent knee to the head in the first quarter of Saturday's game and was bleeding from the nose before heading back to the locker room to be examined. He played just two minutes before exiting.

Rondo is scheduled to be re-assessed when the team returns to Dallas after the team's road trip comes to a close Saturday. Devin Harris and J.J. Barea will likely be tasked with handling point-guard duties in Rondo's absence.


Hawks announce Sefolosha (calf) to miss 6-to-8 weeks

(7:24 pm ET) The Hawks announced Saturday that shooting guard Thabo Sefolosha will miss six-to-eight weeks due to a right calf strain, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.

Sefolosha drew the start Friday as an injury replacement but had to leave the game after just two minutes due to the calf injury. He underwent an MRI Saturday, which determined the severity of the injury. He has averaged 5.1 points and 4.3 rebounds in 45 games.


Report: Timberwolves' Muhammad expected to return next week

(7:20 pm ET) Timberwolves small forward Shabazz Muhammad is expected to return in the next week, the Star Tribune reports.

Muhammad traveled to Vancouver this week to meet with a specialist regarding his oblique strain. He has averaged 13.7 points and 4.0 rebounds in 35 games.


Thunder SF Kevin Durant active Saturday, still not a lock to play

(7:06 pm ET) Thunder small forward Kevin Durant will be active for Saturday's game against the Grizzlies, but he still is not a lock to play, The Oklahoman reports.

Durant, who has missed the last two games with a sprained big toe, will warm up with the team before tipoff Saturday before a final determination is made on his availability. He has averaged 25.6 points, 6.7 rebounds and 4.1 assists in 21 games.

The Thunder are 5 1/2-point underdogs in Memphis Saturday.


Report: Bucks' Ersan Ilyasova, Zaza Pachulia out Saturday

(7:02 pm ET) Bucks small forward Ersan Ilyasova (groin) and center Zaza Pachulia (calf) will not play in Saturday's game against the Blazers, FOX Sports Wisconsin reports.

Jared Dudley and John Henson will join the starting lineup in place of the injured players, both of whom will be missing their second straight game Saturday.

The Bucks are 2-point home underdogs against the Blazers Saturday.


Wizards PG John Wall (ankle) in starting lineup Saturday

(6:30 pm ET) Wizards point guard John Wall (ankle) is in the starting lineup for the team's game against the Raptors Saturday.

Wall missed practice Friday and was deemed a gametime decision for Saturday's matchup due to an ankle injury and persistent migraines. He has averaged 17.2 points and 10.1 assists in 47 games.

The Wizards are 4 1/2-point favorites against the Raptors Saturday.


Hawks' Sefolosha out at least one month with siginificant injury

(6:27 pm ET) Hawks shooting guard Thabo Sefolosha is expected to miss at least one month with a significant injury, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.

Sefolosha drew the start Friday in place of another injured player but managed to see just two minutes of action before coming out with a calf injury. With Sefolosha and DeMarre Carroll sidelined Saturday, Kent Bazemore will draw the start at small forward.

The Hawks are 16-point favorites at home against Philadelphia.


Nuggets' Darrell Arthur, Kenneth Faried out Saturday

With the Nuggets down two power forwards, the team may have to employ extended two-center lineups. The Nuggets are 5-point favorites at home against the Hornets Saturday.
