Trail Blazers' Wesley Matthews playing with protective cover on hand

(4:49 pm ET) Trail Blazers guard Wesley Matthews was seen in warmups with a protective cover on his right hand and appears to be playing with it on Sunday, reports the team's website.

Matthews may have injured his hand in Friday's game against the Thunder, but was not forced out of action because of it. He is averaging 16.2 points and 3.7 rebounds in 57 games this season.


Aaron Gordon and Evan Fournier out for Magic on Sunday

(4:47 pm ET) The Magic will be without Aaron Gordon and Evan Fournier for Sunday's game against the Hornets, coach James Borrego told the media

It'll be the second-straight game Gordon has missed with an ankle injury and second straight missed by Fournier with an injured hip. 

The Magic are 1.5-point underdogs. 


Celtics' Kelly Olynyk 'probably won't play' even if active, Sunday

(4:43 pm ET) Kelly Olynyk is unlikely to play for the Celtics in Sunday's game against the Warriors.

Olynyk has missed the last 16 games with an ankle injury. He was able to practice on Saturday, but meeting with the media on Sunday, coach Brad Stevens said "Even if he's available, he probably won't play." 

The Celtics are nine-point underdogs at home.  


Hornets center Bismack Biyombo will play Sunday

(4:37 pm ET) Hornets center Bismack Biyombo is set to return to the floor Sunday after missing the team's last 11 games, reports the Charlotte Observer.

Biyombo, who is averaging 4.6 points and 6.2 rebounds in 38 games, is likely to come off the bench Sunday against the Magic.

The Hornets are currently 1 1/2 point favorites against Orlando.


Bulls' Pau Gasol grabs 15 boards but struggles shooting

(4:32 pm ET) Pau Gasol was still suffering from an illness in the Bulls' 96-86 loss to the Clippers on Sunday. 

Gasol missed Friday's game, and coach Tom Thibodeau gave him credit for playing through the illness on Sunday afternoon. 

Gasol managed just four points on two-of-13 shooting. While his shooting suffered, Gasol managed a team-high 15 rebounds and added four assists. 

The Bulls next play Tuesday, against the Wizards. 


Nikola Mirotic scores career-high 29 for Bulls

(4:26 pm ET) Nikola Mirotic scored a career-high 29 points for the Bulls in a 96-86 loss to the Clippers on Sunday. 

Mirotic hit 11 of 23 shots, while the rest of the Bulls shot just 16-of-64 (25 percent). 

In the fourth quarter, Mirotic shot six-of-12 and scored 16 of the 17 points that the Bulls posted in the quarter. 

The Bulls next play Tuesday against the Wizards. 


DeMarcus Cousins to miss Sunday's game for Kings

(4:20 pm ET) Kings center DeMarcus Cousins will miss Sunday's game against the Trail Blazers. 

It will be the second straight game that Cousins misses with a left-ankle injury. He was unable to practice on Saturday, although he did shoot around afterward. 

The Kings are 8.5-point underdogs at home. 


Clippers' Matt Barnes strains hamstring, likely out on Monday

(4:09 pm ET) Clippers SF Matt Barnes injured his right hamstring during Sunday's win over the Bulls. After the game, coach Doc Rivers said the hamstring was strained, and it was likely that Barnes wouldn't play in Monday's game at the Timberwolves. 

Barnes returned to Sunday's game after suffering the injury. He scored six points in 34 minutes. 


Bulls' Jimmy Butler has hyperextended elbow, MRI on Monday

(4:04 pm ET) Jimmy Butler left Sunday's Bulls game early after a collision with the Clippers' DeAndre Jordan. 

After the game, Bulls coach Tom Thibodeau said Butler's elbow had been hyperextended. 

Butler will have an MRI on the elbow, Monday. 


Solomon Hill will play Sunday for Pacers

(4:00 pm ET) Pacers SF Solomon Hill will play in Sunday night's game against the 76ers. 

Hill was initially listed as questionable, suffering from an illness. The team released a statement saying Hill would play. 

Hill is averaging 6.9 points and 3.2 rebounds this season. 

The Pacers are 11-point favorites at home.
