James Harden gets third straight double-double for Rockets
by Shawn Krest | CBSSports.com
(12:15 am ET) The Rockets weren't sure if James Harden was going to be able to play. He ended up recording a double-double in a 102-98 win over the Nets on Friday.

Harden missed practice with a sore ankle, but he was able to avoid missing his first game of the season.

''The beauty of this team is that we've been good battling adversity all year,'' Harden said.

He ended up scoring 15 points and dishing out 12 assists to record his third straight double-double. That's a career-high for Harden.

Harden hit a free throw with 43 seconds left to put the Rockets on top to stay.

The Rockets next host the Cavaliers on Sunday.

Terrence Jones' double-double leads Rockets
by Shawn Krest | CBSSports.com
(12:10 am ET) Terrence Jones recorded a double-double to help lead the Rockets past the Nets, 102-98, Friday.

Jones scored a season-high 26 points on 11-of-16 shooting. He added 12 rebounds to get a double-double for the second time in three games.

The performance came in Jones' eleventh game back after missing three months with a nerve problem in his leg. ''I still have a little bit of issues here now and then, but right now I'm feeling very comfortable out there," he said, "just bringing a lot of energy and I think it's helping out the team a lot,''

The Rockets next host the Cavaliers on Sunday.

DeMar DeRozan scores 14 in bleak night for Raptors
by Shawn Krest | CBSSports.com
(12:02 am ET) DeMar DeRozan scored 14 points in a night when not much went well for the Raptors.

The Warriors blew out the Raptors in Toronto, 113-89

DeRozan missed all seven of his shots in the first quarter, when the Raptors made just one of 19 shots and fell behind by 16.

"They got hot and ran off with it," DeRozan said.

DeRozan hit just four of his 16 shots on the night.

The Raptors next play Saturday night at the Knicks.

Terrence Ross scores 18 off bench for Raptors
by Shawn Krest | CBSSports.com
(2/27/2015) Terrence Ross came off the bench to score 18 points in one of the few bright spots for the Raptors, Friday. The Warriors pounded the Raptors 113-89.

''There's no excuse for that type of performance,'' coach Dwane Casey said.

Ross hit seven-of-14 from the field and three-for-eight from long range.

The Raptors next play at the Knicks on Saturday night.

Stephen Curry scores 22 in Warriors' blowout
by Shawn Krest | CBSSports.com
(2/27/2015) Stephen Curry scored 22 points, as the Warriors cruised to a 113-89 win at the Raptors, Friday.

Curry scored nine points in the first quarter, as the Warriors built a 27-11 lead and never looked back.

''They got hot and ran off with it,'' Toronto's DeMar DeRozan said.

''We got a great lead at halftime and pretty much had won the game at that point,'' Curry said. ''We didn't want to have to make ourselves win it again. That was a good sign of mental toughness in the second half to keep the pressure on.''

Curry hit eight-of-13 from the field and three of his four 3-pointers. He added five assists and six rebounds.

The Warriors next play at the Celtics, Sunday night.

Klay Thompson scores 25 in big Warriors' win
by Shawn Krest | CBSSports.com
(2/27/2015) Klay Thompson scored a game-high 25 points as the Warriors beat the Raptors 113-89, Friday.

The big win came on the heels of an 11-point loss to the Cavaliers on Thursday.

"Tonight was a great way to respond,'' Thompson said. ''The resiliency of this team is pretty special.''

Thompson hit nine of 18, including five of his eight 3-pointers. Three of his long-range shots came in a flurry to start the second half. Thompson hit the first four shots after the break, scoring 11 points in just over two minutes, as the Warriors built a 30-point lead.

The Warriors next play at the Celtics on Sunday night.

Jonas Jerebko's double-double off bench leads Celtics
by Shawn Krest | CBSSports.com
(2/27/2015) In his third game with the Celtics, Jonas Jerebko recorded a double-double off the bench. Acquired at the trade deadline, last week, Jerebko scored 16 and grabbed a season-high 10 rebounds to lead the Celtics to a 106-98 win over the Hornets.

The Celtics erased a 16-point Hornets lead to win their third straight. Jerebko put the Celtics on top to stay on a go-ahead layup with 5:28 remaining.

Jerebko hit six-of-nine from the field, the only Celtic to make more than half of his shots for the game.

''When he played for Detroit, I knew he played very hard,'' teammate Avery Bradley said. ''He makes big shots. I feel like he can really help our team out.''
