Pelicans concerned over Jrue Holiday's leg issues
by Sean d'Oliveira | CBSSports.com
(12:58 pm ET) While Pelicans guard Jrue Holiday was able to play in Game 3 and 4 against the Warriors, coach Monty Williams said the team is concerned about his injury history, reports The Times-Picayune.

Holiday missed more than 40 games this season because of a lingering stress reaction in his leg. It was his second-consecutive season missing more than half of the games and Williams said Holiday will work with team trainers during the offseason in the hope of improving his health.

Cavs say Anderson Varejao (Achilles) will not return in playoffs
by Sean d'Oliveira | CBSSports.com
(12:40 pm ET) With Cavaliers forward Kevin Love unlikely to return to the playoffs because of a dislocated shoulder, general manager David Griffin said center Anderson Varejao is not a viable option to return either, reports the Akron Beacon Journal.

Varejao was ruled out for the season after he torn his left Achilles in December.

Cavaliers doubt Kevin Love (shoulder) can return in playoffs
by Sean d'Oliveira | CBSSports.com
(12:31 pm ET) Cavaliers general manager David Griffin said it's highly unlikely forward Kevin Love will be able to return during the playoffs, reports the Akron Beacon Journal.

Love sustained a dislocated shoulder during the Game 4 win over the Celtics on Sunday when he got tangled with Kelly Olynyk. Love has already been ruled out of the Eastern Conference Semifinals and Griffin said he would be surprised if Love was able to return at any point in the playoffs. He also did not rule out surgery for Love.

With Love likely out for the remainder of the playoffs, forward LeBron James said the team remains confident that someone will fill Love's role, reports Fox Sports.

"We're a confident bunch," he said. "We have guys who can step up. No excuses."

Hawks' Brand interested in playing for Knicks, if he doesn't retire
(11:38 am ET) Hawks forward Elton Brand, a free agent this offseason, is reportedly interested in signing with the Knicks, according to the New York Post. That's if he decides to play at all in 2015-2016.

Brand, 36, started just four games in his second season with the Hawks, and scored a career-low 96 points. He could be leaning towards retiring, rather than continuing his career.

"I got to make a decision if I’m going to play and come back,’’ Brand said. "[The Knicks] are definitely on the radar for sure. Yeah, I’m thinking about it. Moving on to something else, but I still also love to play and still feel good. I’m going to look at both options."

Brand is a 16-year veteran and has averaged 16.1 points-per-game during his career.
