Raptors' Hansbrough to sit out Monday, Johnson ready to return

(5:52 pm ET) Updating a previous item: Raptors power forward Tyler Hansbrough (shoulder) will not play Monday against the Suns. However, power forward James Johnson is expected to return from a three-game absence due to an ankle injury, per the National Post.

Clippers' Matt Barnes out Monday with calf injury
(5:48 pm ET) Clippers forward Matt Barnes will miss Monday's game against the Magic with a calf injury. Barnes has been playing through a sore calf, but could miss a couple games due to the injury.

Reggie Bullock will start for Barnes, who is averaging 7.8 points and 2.1 rebounds per game.  


Raptors PFs Tyler Hansbrough. James Johnson doubtful for Monday

(5:46 pm ET) The Raptors have listed power forwards Tyler Hansbrough and James Johnson as doubtful for Monday's game against the Suns, per Sportsnet.ca. Hansbrough has missed two straight games with a shoulder injury. Johnson has not played since Nov. 15 with an ankle injury.

Magic forward Tobias Harris out Monday
(5:40 pm ET) The Magic will be without forward Tobias Harris on Monday against the Cavs with a right calf strain. Harris also missed Saturday against the Heat.

"I tried to see how it felt and there is still some discomfort. I don’t want to put myself at risk on the floor," Harris said. "I want to play bad & be out there with the guys on the team, but I’m not gonna be able to (play)." 

Harris is averaging 18.8 points and 8.4 rebounds per game. 


Hornets' Kidd-Gilchrist out Monday, could be out awhile
(5:35 pm ET) Hornets forward Michael Kidd-Gilchrist is out again Monday against the Clippers with a foot injury. Kidd-Gilchrist, who still can't put pressure on his foot, could be out a while, according to the Associated Press.

Kidd-Gilchrist hasn't played since Nov. 11 against the Trail Blazers. He is averaging 8.4 points and 5.0 rebounds per game. 


Hornets G P.J. Hairston ruled out vs. Clippers

(5:31 pm ET) Hornets guard P.J. Hairston was ruled out for Monday's contest against the Clippers, coach Steve Clifford told reporters, per the Associated Press. Hairston will now have missed four consecutive games with an ankle injury. He is averaging 5.4 points and 1.4 rebounds through eight games (two starts).

His next opportunity to return will come Wednesday against Portland.


Lakers' Scott plans to rest Kobe Bryant in practice more
(4:20 pm ET) Lakers coach Byron Scott said Monday he plans to rest Kobe Bryant more in practice instead of lowering his minutes, according to the L.A. Daily News

Bryant has played in all 14 games this season, averaging 35.7 minutes. Bryant is averaging 26.7 points and 5.1 rebounds per game. 


Bucks' Brandon Knight questionable for Tuesday
(4:05 pm ET) The Bucks have listed point guard Brandon Knight as questionable for Tuesday with a right quad strain. Knight has yet to miss time due to injury this season. 

Knight is averaging 18.1 points and 6.4 assists per game. 


Ed Davis, Carlos Boozer held out of Lakers' practice Monday
(3:37 pm ET) Lakers forwards Ed Davis (ankle) and Carlos Boozer (shoulder) were both held out of practice Monday. Coach Byron Scott said that he will see how they feel Tuesday

Boozer missed Sunday's game against the Nuggets. He is averaging 12.5 points and 7.3 rebounds per game. 

Davis is listed as probable for their game Wednesday against the Grizzlies. Davis is averaging 6.0 points and 6.4 rebounds per game. 


Lakers' Xavier Henry might have torn Achilles tendon
(3:17 pm ET) Lakers forward Xavier Henry may have torn his left Achilles tendon in practice Monday. Henry will be getting an MRI on the injury.

Henry missed the entire preseason with a knee injury and missed time last season with a wrist injury. 

Henry is averaging 2.2 points per game.
