Heat coach Spoelstra hints that Tyler Johnson will play Wednesday
by Igor Mello | CBSSports.com
(11:15 am ET) Heat coach Erik Spoelstra hinted that guard Tyler Johnson will be available to play Wednesday night against the Lakers, according to the Sun Sentinel.

Johnson is nursing a sore ankle after registering a career-high 26 points in Monday's win over the Suns. He is averaging 7.5 points and 1.9 rebounds while shooting 52.4 percent from the field through 12 games.

Miami is a 9-point home favorite against Los Angeles, per VegasInsider.com.

Harris, Fournier, Gordon limited in morning shootaround for Magic
by Igor Mello | CBSSports.com
(10:22 am ET) Magic forward Tobias Harris (knee), guard Evan Fournier (hip) and forward Aaron Gordon (ankle) were all limited in shootaround on Wednesday due to injuries. Point guard Luke Ridnour was unable to take part in shootaround due to a hamstring injury, per the team's official website.

Orlando will host Phoenix on Wednesday, and are 4 1/2-point underdogs, per VegasInsider.com.

Kevin Love received postgame IV Tuesday, will play Wednesday
by Igor Mello | CBSSports.com
(10:13 am ET) Cavaliers forward Kevin Love received an IV following Tuesday's 110-79 victory over the Celtics, ESPN reports. Although he revealed that he may be dealing with food poisoning, he said he plans to play Wednesday night against the Raptors.

Love played through the illness despite missing Tuesday's shootaround. He scored 12 points and grabbed eight rebounds while logging 25 minutes of game action in the win. He is averaging a double-double -- 16.9 points and 10.2 boards -- through his first 59 games in Cleveland.

Cleveland is a 5-point favorite at Toronto, per VegasInsider.com.

Steve Nash hints retirement: 'NBA game is just a touch too far for me'
by Igor Mello | CBSSports.com
(10:04 am ET) Lakers guard Steve Nash hinted that his NBA career is likely over while making an appearance on TSN Radio 1040 on Tuesday. Nash admitted that the wear-and-tear of his body can no longer handle game action.

"Unfortunately the NBA game is just a touch too far for me," Nash said. "I play one game and I'm out a month. I have a bunch of back things going on that compromise that nerve.

"I never worked as hard as I did the last 18 months, two years, twice a day almost every day to try to just give it that one last year," Nash said. "And I finally just had to admit that it’s just not meant to be."

Nash, 41, was ruled out for the 2014-15 season with recurring nerve issues in his back. He is owed $9.7 million this year before he becomes an unrestricted free agent at the end of the season. The eight-time NBA All-Star has career averages of 14.3 points, 8.5 assists and 3.0 rebounds over 18 seasons.

Warriors' Kerr grateful that Iguodala, Lee accepted reserve roles
by Igor Mello | CBSSports.com
(9:39 am ET) Warriors coach Steve Kerr acknowledged Tuesday he's grateful that Andre Iguodala and David Lee each accepted a reserve role on the team, which has contributed to Golden State's 46-12 record this season -- only two wins behind the Hawks for the best record in the NBA.

Iguodala only accepted a role off the bench once in his career, and it wasn't even in the NBA. While winning an Olympic gold medal in 2012 as a member of Team USA, Iguodala took a back seat to LeBron James.

"It's one of the most gratifying parts of the season," Kerr said, per the Washington Post. "That's really what you hope for as a coach. That each guy is going to accept a role and understand that that role is designed to make the team better and that it may cost him some minutes and some points and all that stuff. But if everyone buys in, and believes, you've got a pretty strong, powerful force and I think we've achieved that to this point."

Lee also didn't have any objections to Kerr's plans this season when he was told that Draymond Green was a better fit in the starting lineup.

"I've had plenty of years putting up big numbers, being an All-Star and doing things like that. Now it's time to chase a ring and I love what our team is doing and our chemistry. And the character guys on our team, nobody cares who gets the credit," Lee said. "We know that we have two bona fide superstars in Steph and Klay and everybody else is really here to fill around those guys and to make them as successful as possible."

Hornets coach Clifford: Hairston's not making his teammates better
by Brandon Wise | CBSSports.com
(12:28 am ET) Hornets coach Steve Clifford doesn't like what he's seen from rookie P.J. Hairston as of late. Monday, Hairston was made inactive for arriving late to a weight training session and Tuesday Clifford had some harsh words for the rookie, according to the Charlotte Observer.

"He hasn't developed any way to play to make his teammates better," Clifford said.

Hairston didn't play again on Tuesday and is averaging 5.6 points and 2.0 rebounds in 35 games this season.

by Chris Cwik | CBSSports.com

Faried shot 5-10 from the field. He hit four of his five free throws, finishing with 14 points. Faried was active on the boards as well, picking up 14 rebounds. Twelve of those came on the defensive end of the court. Faried also added two blocks.

Raptors' Greivis Vasquez adjusting to new role in offense
by Brandon Wise | CBSSports.com
(3/3/2015) Raptors point guard Greivis Vasquez wasn't expecting to fill a backup role this season. But the veteran is making the most of the playing time he's getting, reports the Toronto Sun.

"This year has been tough for me," said Vasquez of the changing roles and adapting to each changing situation. "I have to adjust to one, two, three different roles."

Vasquez is averaging 9.5 points and 3.6 assists in 60 games this season.

"I just want to win," said Vasquez. "I just want to play in May."

Bucks' Antetokounmpo goes for double-double on Tuesday
by Chris Cwik | CBSSports.com
