Anthony Bennett, Carrick Felix available for finale
by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com
(6:50 pm ET) The Cavaliers will have two surprise faces available for Wednesday's season finale against the Nets, as forwards Anthony Bennett (knee) and Carrick Felix (knee) are both active following long absences.

Bennett, the team's No. 1 overall pick, has not played since early March, while Felix, a second-round pick, hasn't been seen in uniform since early January.

(6:37 pm ET) The Cavaliers will have two surprise faces available for Wednesday's season finale against the Nets, as forwards Anthony Bennett (knee) and Carrick Felix (knee) are both active following long absences.

Bennett, the team's No. 1 overall pick, has not played since early March, while Felix, a second-round pick, hasn't been seen in uniform since early January.

Heat giving Mario Chalmers, Chris Andersen rest
by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com
(6:26 pm ET) The Heat will be resting most of their starting lineup in Wednesday's finale against the 76ers, as Mario Chalmers will join Chris Bosh and LeBron James on the sidelines to rest before the start of the playoffs. Heat coach Eric Spoelstra also told reporters prior to the game that Chris Andersen will not suit up for the game, with Miami set to open their postseason Sunday.

Raymond Felton, Tyson Chandler sit out finale
by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com
(6:22 pm ET) Knicks guard Raymond Felton and center Tyson Chandler are taking the final night of the season off and are not in uniform for Wednesday's game against the Raptors.

Felton finishes the season having appeared in 65 games, and has fought through back and rib injuries in recent weeks. He averaged 9.7 points, 3.0 rebounds and 5.6 assists per game on the season.

Chandler played just five minutes in the team's previous game Tuesday, and there is no reason to push him with the season ending without a postseason run. Chandler was limited to 55 games, his lowest total since 2009-10. He averaged just 8.7 points and 9.6 rebounds per game, also his lowest averages since 2009-10.

Jameer Nelson out for finale, future in question
by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com
(6:02 pm ET) Magic guard Jameer Nelson will not play in the season finale against the Pacers Wednesday, due to a lingering groin injury. This injury cost Nelson the final three games of the season, a year in which he ultimately missed 14 games.

Nelson finished the season averaging 12.1 points and 7.0 assists per game when healthy. He is set to enter the final season of his contract with the Magic, though there he could be waived before July 15 with the team only being on the hook for $2 million of his $8 million salary.

Celtics rule out four for finale
by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com
(5:53 pm ET) The Celtics will be without a big chunk of their rotation for the season finale against the Wizards, as four players have been ruled out for Wednesday. Starting guards Rajon Rondo (hamstring) and Jerryd Bayless (knee) are joined on the injury list by forwards Kris Humphries (knee) and Jared Sullinger (ankle).

Sullinger, Bayless and Humphries ended up missing the final three games of the season due to his injury, while Rondo sat out three of the final four.

Kent Bazemore goes under the knife
by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com
(5:45 pm ET) Lakers guard Kent Bazemore underwent successful surgery on his right foot Wednesday, the team announced. Bazemore's surgery was to repair a torn peroneus longus tendon, an injury which cost him the final five games of the season.

Bazemore's production took off following a midseason trade to the Lakers. He averaged 13.1 points, 3.3 rebounds and 3.1 assists in 28 minutes per game in his 23 appearances. Bazemore is a restricted free agent this offseason, and is expected to be fully healed in time for the start of next season.

Eric Gordon set for surgery Wednesday
by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com
(5:41 pm ET) Pelicans guard Eric Gordon will undergo arthroscopic surgery to clean up his left knee Wednesday, the result of an injury that cost him the final 13 games of the season.

Gordon is expected to be fully recovered from the surgery by the start of next season, though at this point it may be a stretch to expect him to be fully healthy. He missed 18 games this season, which is actually his lowest total since he was a rookie in 2008-09.

Gordon finished the 2013-14 season averaging 15.4 points, 2.6 rebounds and 3.2 assists per game.

Chris Kaman misses finale with calf injury
by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com
(5:23 pm ET) Lakers center Chris Kaman's trying season won't get an encore, as he has been ruled out for Wednesday's finale against the Spurs due to a lingering calf injury.

Kaman ended up missing the final seven games of the season as a result of the injury, and will end up playing in just 39 games total, his lowest total since 2010-11. Kaman clashed with coach Mike D'Antoni over playing time, ultimately averaging just 18.9 minutes per game, a career-low for the second season in a row. He averaged 10.4 points and 5.9 rebounds per game heading into free agency.
