Sixers guard Ish Smith scores 23 points in losing effort Wednesday

(9:40 pm ET) 76ers guard Ish Smith scored 23 points on 11 of 17 shooting from the field, including 1 of 2 from 3-point range, in Philadelphia's 106-93 loss to the Wizards Wednesday.

Smith did a bit of everything in the contest, pulling down three rebounds, dishing out three assists and adding three steals to his totals. It was his first 20-plus point game in the last 12.


Wizards center Marcin Gortat posts double-double in win Wednesday

(9:36 pm ET) Wizards center Marcin Gortat scored a team-high 23 points on a blistering 10 of 11 shooting from the field in Washington's 106-93 win over the 76ers Wednesday.

Gortat also pulled down a game-high 14 rebounds, leading to his 20th double-double of the season and first in his last 13 games. He added three assists and two blocks to his totals.


Magic guard Victor Oladipo scores 24 points in losing effort

(9:32 pm ET) Magic guard Victor Oladipo scored 24 points on 9 of 19 shooting from the field, including 2 of 3 from 3-point range, in Orlando's 103-91 loss to the Spurs Wednesday.

Oladipo also dished out seven assists and pulled down six rebounds in the contest. It was Oladipo's third 20-plus point game in his last five.


Spurs center Aron Baynes scores 18 points in win Wednesday

(9:29 pm ET) Spurs center Aron Baynes scored a season-high 18 points on 5 of 10 shooting from the field and a perfect 8 of 8 from the free throw line in San Antonio's 103-91 win over the Magic Wednesday.

Baynes added five rebounds and one block to his totals. It was Bayne's first double digit scoring game of the month.


Report: Kings sign Sim Bhullar to 10-day contract

(9:24 pm ET) The Kings have reportedly signed center Sim Bhullar to a 10-day contract, according to CowbellKingdom.com.

Bhullar has played the majority of the season in the NBA D-League for the Reno Bighorns, averaging 10.3 points, 8.7 rebounds and 3.9 blocks per game. 


76ers PG Isaiah Canaan sprains ankle, will not return Wednesday

(9:17 pm ET) 76ers point guard Isaiah Canaan will not return to Wednesday's game against the Wizards due to a sprained right ankle, the team announced.

Canaan suffered the injury late in the fourth quarter with his team down big, so he would be unlikely to return regardless of the severity of the injury. He finished the game with 18 points on 7 of 12 shooting, including 4 of 9 shooting from 3-point range, while racking up six assists, three rebounds and two steals in 22 minutes off the bench.

The 76ers have a few days off before facing the Hornets Saturday.


Mavericks guard Monta Ellis will play Wednesday

(8:06 pm ET) Mavericks shooting guard Monta Ellis is officially active and in the starting lineup for Wednesday's game against the Thunder, reports The Oklahoman.

Ellis was listed as probable for the contest with a calf injury and missed Sunday's game because of it. The Mavericks are currently 3-point underdogs.


Hornets C Al Jefferson takes elbow to face during Wednesday's game

(7:24 pm ET) In addition to dealing with a sore knee, Hornets center Al Jefferson will likely be suffering from a sore jaw after taking an elbow to his chin during Wednesday's game against the Pistons.

Jefferson was guarding Pistons forward Andre Drummond when Drummond elbowed Jefferson directly on the chin. Jefferson fell to ground, but he was able to remain in the game. Drummond was assessed a Flagrant-1 foul.


Kings center DeMarcus Cousins is active for Wednesday's game

(7:17 pm ET) After sitting out the previous game to rest a variety of injuries, Kings center DeMarcus Cousins will be available to play in Wednesday's game at Houston, reports the team's radio announcer.

Cousins has been dealing with a calf strain, sore foot and thigh bruise.

The Kings are 12-point underdogs to the Rockets.


Warriors list Draymond Green (shin) as questionable Thursday

(7:11 pm ET) Warriors forward Draymond Green is dealing with a shin injury and is considered questionable for Thursday's game against the Suns, reports the Bay Area News Group.

The injury caused Green to miss the last two games and forward David Lee has started in his place.
