Report: Jazz top pick Trey Lyles to sign rookie deal Tuesday

(2:08 pm ET) Rookie power forward Trey Lyles is expected to sign his contract with the Jazz on Tuesday pending the results of a routine physical, per the Deseret News.

The No. 12 overall pick played one year at Kentucky before turning pro.


F Kevin Garnett confirms return to Timberwolves

(10:52 am ET) Future Hall of Famer Kevin Garnett has confirmed that he will return to the Timberwolves to play his 21st NBA season.

He will sign a two-year contract, sources have told ESPN.

"I'm incredibly excited and rejuvenated to be a part of this talented, committed team," he wrote to 1500 ESPN Radio.

Garnett, who spent his first 12 seasons with Minnesota, returned there last year. He averaged 6.9 points and 6.6 rebounds in 20 minutes a game in 2014-15.


G Mo Williams confirms he's returning to Cavaliers

(10:42 am ET) Veteran guard Mo Williams has made official his return to the Cavaliers, tweeting that he is "coming home" and adding hashtags such as "cavsnation" and "questforaring."

His deal is for two years and $4.3 million, a source with knowlege of the situation told The Associated Press. It cannot be signed until at least Thursday.

Williams will provide a significant offensive upgrade in comparison to Matthew Dellavedova at the backup point guard spot and can also play shooting guard. He averaged 17.2 points in 27 games for Charlotte last year after coming over from Minnesota.

He played for Cleveland during the first stint of LeBron James there. He performed well in general, but his shooting accuracy disappeared in the playoffs.


Timberwolves sign top two draftees

(10:33 am ET) The Timberwolves have announced the signings of their two first-round draft picks in 2015. Both No. 1 selection Karl-Anthony Towns and 24th choice Tyus Jones are in the fold.

Towns, a 6-foot-11 forward/center, averaged 10.3 points, 6.7 rebounds and 2.3 blocks in just 21 minutes per game last season for Kentucky. Jones, a 6-1 point guard, averaged 11.8 points and 5.6 assists a year ago at Duke.


Jazz guard Dante Exum suffers ankle injury Monday

(7/6/2015) Jazz guard Dante Exum sprained his left ankle during a Summer League game Monday, the team announced. He will be reevaluated Tuesday.

Exum averaged 4.8 points and 2.4 assists in 82 games last season.


Jazz forward Grant Jerrett suffers shoulder injury Monday

(7/6/2015) Jazz forward Grant Jerrett suffered a dislocated right shoulder during a Summer League game Monday, reports the Salt Lake Tribune.

Jerrett averaged 2.0 points and 1.1 rebounds in eight games last season.


Report: Cavs sign Mo Williams

(7/6/2015) The Cavaliers agreed to a two-year, $4.3 million contract with guard Mo Williams on Monday, sources told Yahoo Sports. The deal includes a player option.

Williams averaged 14.2 points and 6.2 assists in 68 games last season for the Timberwolves and Hornets. He last played for the Cavaliers during the 2010-11 season.

Barbosa averaged 7.1 points and 1.5 assists in 66 games last season for the Warriors.

Report: Cavaliers seeking to land Clippers SG Jamal Crawford

(7/6/2015) The search of the Cavaliers to bolster their bench has them discussing a deal that would bring super sixth man Jamal Crawford over from the Clippers, sources have told ESPN.

Cleveland would dump Brendan Haywood in the trade.

Crawford has been instant offense throughout his career. But he shot just 39.6 percent from the floor last year, his second-worst accuracy since the 2004-05 season. He still averaged an impressive 15.8 points in 27 minutes per game.
