Bulls forward Taj Gibson (ankle) no longer using walking boot

(1:50 pm ET) Bulls forward Taj Gibson is no longer using a walking boot on his injured ankle, reports ESPNChicago.com.

While Gibson is making progress, he has not been cleared to conduct any basketball activity, reports the Chicago Tribune.

Gibson has missed the last two games after suffering a sprained ankle during last Friday's contest. Forward Tony Snell has seen his role increase with Gibson sidelined.


Report: Tony Allen's suspension from Grizzlies was due to confrontation

(1:32 pm ET) Grizzlies guard Tony Allen served a one-game suspension Tuesday because of a heated confrontation he had with teammate Nick Calathes during a team practice, sources told ESPN.

While the altercation was not physical, Allen's suspension was because Allen waved off coaches who were trying to calm him down after the confrontation.

With the suspension over, Allen will return to the lineup for Wednesday's game at Houston. The Grizzlies are 3 1/2-point underdogs.


Bulls' Joakim Noah not expected to play for France in September

(1:24 pm ET) Bulls center Joakim Noah is not expected to play for France at the European Championship in September, reports the Associated Press.

With Noah, 30, dealing with a variety of knee and ankle issues, he said he wants to focus on his NBA career. With Noah deciding not to play in the European Championship, he is also unlikely to be selected to play in the Olympics in 2016.


76ers' Robert Covington (arm) unlikely to play Wednesday

(1:15 pm ET) 76ers coach Brett Brown said forward Robert Covington is doubtful to play in Wednesday's game at Oklahoma City, reports The Inquirer.

An arm injury Covington suffered during Sunday's loss to Pacers also prevented him from playing in Monday's contest. In 49 games, Covington is averaging 13.2 points and 4.7 rebounds. Guard JaKarr Sampson is expected to receive the start in place of Covington.

The 76ers are 15-point underdogs.


Pelicans' Jrue Holiday no longer using walking boot

(1:03 pm ET) Pelicans guard Jrue Holiday is no longer using a walking boot, but said he is still experiencing pain and swelling in his lower right leg, reports the New Orleans Advocate.

Holiday is dealing with a stress reaction in his leg and has not played since Jan. 12. He is expected to be reevaluated later this month.


Wolves' Nikola Pekovic (ankle) will attempt to play Wednesday

(12:52 pm ET) Timberwovles center Nikola Pekovic said he will attempt to play in Wednesday's game against the Nuggets, reports the St. Paul Pioneer Press.

Pekovic missed Monday's game after suffering a sprained ankle and is listed as questionable Wednesday. In 27 games, he is averaging 13.2 points and 7.8 rebounds.

The Timberwolves are 6 1/2-point favorites.


Pelicans sign Elliot Williams to 10-day contract

Williams was recently released by the Hornets. In five games this season, Williams is averaging 3.6 points and 0.8 assists.


Grizzlies list Randolph, Udrih, Carter as questionable Wednesday

(12:44 pm ET) The Grizzlies released their injury report for Wednesday's game at Houston and listed forward Zach Randolph (illness), guards Beno Udrih (illness) and Vince Carter (foot) as questionable, reports The Houston Chronicle.

All three players missed Tuesday's loss to the Jazz. The Grizzlies are 3 1/2-point underdogs.


Timberwolves list Kevin Martin as questionable for Wednesday's game

(12:32 pm ET) Timberwolves guard Kevin Martin is listed as questionable for Wednesday's game against the Nuggets, the team announced.

Martin is dealing with an illness, which kept him out of Monday's loss to the Clippers. Martin said Wednesday he is feeling better, reports the St. Paul Pioneer Press.  Guard Gary Neal is expected to start if Martin is held out.

The Timberwolves are 5 1/2-point favorites.


Pelicans' Anthony Davis will be game-time decision Wednesday

(12:27 pm ET) Pelicans forward Anthony Davis will test his injured shoulder during pregame before deciding to play in Wednesday's game against the Pistons, reports The Times-Picayune.

Davis was able to participate in Wednesday's shootaround and barring any setbacks with the shoulder, Davis is expected to play, reports ESPN. Anthony has been out since Feb. 21 after aggravating a shoulder injury.

The Pelicans are 5-point favorites.
