(6:58 pm ET) Goran Dragic is in the Heat's starting lineup for Monday's game against the Suns. Dragic had been questionable with back spasms. 

The Heat are 1.5-point favorites at home. 


Timberwolves' Nikola Pekovic, Kevin Martin out for Monday's game

(6:57 pm ET) Timberwolves center Nikola Pekovic and guard Kevin Martin will miss Monday's game against the Clippers, coach Flip Saunders announced before the game.

Pekovic is dealing with an ankle injury he suffered in Saturday's game and was considered questionable for Monday. Pekovic is averaging 13.2 points and 7.8 rebounds in 27 games this season. Martin, who is averaging 20.5 points and 2.1 assists in 23 games, is dealing with an illness.

The Timberwolves are currently 5-point underdogs against the Clippers.


Rockets' James Harden suspended one game for LeBron James kick

(6:42 pm ET) The NBA suspended Rockets SG James Harden one game for an incident in Sunday's overtime win over the Cavaliers. 

With 2:08 remaining in the third quarter, LeBron James tried to strip the ball from Harden. In the fight for the ball, Harden was knocked to the floor. He then lifted his foot and kicked James in the groin. 

Referees issued Harden a flagrant foul for the kick. The league has suspended him, without pay, for Tuesday's game at the Hawks. 


Suns G Brandon Knight will start, wear protective pad

(6:35 pm ET) Suns coach Jeff Hornacek said guard Brandon Knight will start Monday's game against the Heat despite his hip pointer injury, according to the Arizona Republic

Knight will wear a protective pad on his injured hip during the game. Knight injured his hip during Saturday's loss to the Spurs. 

This season, Knight, who was traded to Phoenix from the Bucks, is averaging 17.4 points per game. 


Heat G Henry Walker gets second 10-day contract

(6:07 pm ET) Guard Henry Walker has been a pleasant surprise for the Heat during his 10-day contract.

In four games during this span, he's averaged 11.8 points per game, which included a 16-point outburst in Saturday's loss against the Pelicans. 

Therefore, he's been awarded a second 10-day contract, according to the South Florida Sun Sentinel. His first contract expires Monday and his second one will be signed on Tuesday.

 


Kings don't offer David Stockton a new 10-day contract

(5:57 pm ET) The Kings didn't offer guard David Stockton a second 10-day contract after his first one expired. 

Stockton, the son of legendary Jazz PG John Stockton, scored one point in seven minutes in his only game with the Kings.  He averaged 16.6 points, 8.2 assists and 2.4 steals in 31 games with Reno in the D-League before joining the Kings.


Heat's Dragic, Andersen at arena, remain GTD Monday

(5:53 pm ET) Heat coach Erik Spoelstra said that shooting guard Goran Dragic (back) and power forward Chris Andersen (illness) are both at the arena Monday but remain gametime decisions to face the Suns, the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.

Dragic, who was dealt by the Suns to the Heat before the trading deadline, said earlier Monday he hoped to have the opportunity to face his former team. Andersen was also unable to play Saturday due to his illness.

The Heat are 1 1/2-point favorites at home Monday.


Raptors to rest Kyle Lowry during Monday's game at Philadelphia

(5:42 pm ET) Citing rest, Raptors guard Kyle Lowry will be held out of Monday's game at Philadelphia, the team announced.

Lowry will be given the game off to rest a variety of injuries. Coach Dwane Casey said Lowry could miss a few more games to help him recover from his aliments, reports TSN.ca.

In 58 games, Lowry is averaging 18.0 points and 7.0 assists. Guard Greivis Vasquez will likely start in Lowry's place.

The Raptors are 9-point favorites.


Bulls PF Pau Gasol (illness) probable Tuesday vs. Wizards

(5:40 pm ET) Bulls power forward Pau Gasol is probable to play Tuesday against the Wizards due to illness, per the team's play-by-play announcer.

Gasol scored just four points in 33 minutes in Sunday's loss to the Clippers. He has averaged 18.2 points and a career-high 12.1 rebounds in 56 games in his first season with the Bulls.

The Bulls are 3 1/2-point favorites against the Wizards Tuesday.


Jason Richardson and Robert Covington out Monday for 76ers

(5:36 pm ET) The 76ers announced that neither Jason Richardson and Robert Covington will play against the Raptors on Monday. 

Covington left Sunday's game early with a right-arm injury. He was initially listed as questionable for Monday's game. Coach Brett Brown said he expected Covington to be back for Wednesday's game at the Thunder. 

The team has not announced the reason that Richardson is missing the game. However, Brown said that Richardson was less certain to be back for Wednesday's game. 

The Sixers are nine-point underdogs at home, Monday.
