Hornets' Al Jefferson doubles up on the Suns

(9:41 pm ET) Hornets center Al Jefferson posted a double-double on Wednesday against the Suns.

Jefferson shot 13-22 from the field. He hit both of his free throws, finishing with 28 points. Jefferson was active on the boards, pulling down 10 rebounds. He added two assists, a steal and one block. 


Hawks PG Dennis Schroder doubles up vs. Cavaliers

(9:40 pm ET) Hawks PG Dennis Schroder scored 10 points on 4 of 6 shooting and dished out a career-high 10 assists in his team's 127-98 win over the Cavaliers Wednesday.

Schroder drew the start with Jeff Teague (hamstring) sidelined and took advantage of the opportunity, turning in his first career double-double despite playing just 22 minutes. He could continue to appear in the starting lineup if Teague has to miss more time.


Suns' Isaiah Thomas scores 23 off the bench

(9:39 pm ET) Suns guard Isaiah Thomas dropped 23 points off the bench on Wednesday.

Thomas shot 7-13 from the field, including 3-8 from beyond the arc. He also hit six of his 10 free throw attempts. Thomas finished with three rebounds and three assists. He played 28 minutes despite coming off the bench.


Hawks PF Pero Antic scores 11 points vs. Cavaliers

(9:36 pm ET) Hawks power forward Pero Antic scored 11 points on 4 of 6 shooting in his team's 127-98 win over the Cavaliers Wednesday.

Antic missed three games with an illness before making his return Wednesday. He played 13 minutes off the bench while recording four rebounds and two assists to go along with his quality shooting performance. The Hawks will move forward to face the Rockets Saturday.


Hawks G Shelvin Mack scores career-high 24 vs. Cavaliers

(9:34 pm ET) Hawks guard Shelvin Mack scored a career-high 24 points on 7 of 8 shooting, including 6 of 6 shooting from three-point range, in his team's 127-98 win over the Cavaliers in Cleveland Wednesday.

Mack was lights out in the first half, hitting five three-pointers, and managed to sink one more three-pointer in the second half before missing one of his two shots from two-point range. He played 23 minutes in the win, adding three assists and two rebounds. The Hawks will square off with the Rockets Saturday.


Pacers PG C.J. Watson (sinus) set to start Wednesday

(9:30 pm ET) Pacers point guard C.J. Watson will start Wednesday's game against the Clippers, the Indianapolis Star reports.

Watson had been questionable to play Wednesday due to a sinus infection. He has averaged 11.2 points and 4.4 assists in 10 games.


Kings' Gay probable, Cousins questionable Thursday vs. Bucks

(9:25 pm ET) The Kings released the injury report for Thursday's game against the Bucks, with small forward Rudy Gay being listed as probable with right Achilles tendinitis. Gay is averaging a career-best 21.2 points along with 6.3 rebounds and 4.6 assists in 23 games.

Center DeMarcus Cousins is questionable to play against the Bucks. He has been sidelined since Nov. 26 while dealing with viral meningitis.

Power forward Reggie Evans is listed as questionable to play with a left knee/hip contusion. Small forward Omri Casspi is dealing with a knee injury and is doubtful to play Thursday.


Rockets C Dwight Howard set to play Wednesday

(9:18 pm ET) Rockets center Dwight Howard will play in Wednesday's game against the Nuggets, the team announced.

Howard missed 11 games with a knee injury before returning to score 26 points and grab 13 rebounds in 30 minutes against the Nuggets Saturday. He was listed as questionable to play Wednesday but appears set to take the floor. The center has averaged 19.5 points, 11.5 rebounds and 2.4 blocks in 11 games.


Rockets expect PG Isaiah Canaan to play Wednesday

(9:15 pm ET) The Rockets expected point guard Isaiah Canaan to play against the Nuggets Wednesday, the team announced.

Canaan has missed the last seven games with an ankle injury. He has averaged 9.6 points and 1.7 assists in 14 games.


Report: Timberwolves put Corey Brewer back on trading block

(9:08 pm ET) The Timberwolves have placed small forward Corey Brewer back on the trading block, ESPN.com reports.

The Rockets and Cavaliers are considered the most interested suitors for Brewer, but the Clippers have also joined the chase. Brewer was placed on the trading block in November but removed after the injury to Kevin Martin. Brewer has averaged 10.5 points, 3.9 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 2.2 steals in 24 games.
