by Sean d'Oliveira | CBSSports.com
(3:25 pm ET) Forward Draymond Green and the Warriors have broken off contract talks, a source told Yahoo Sports.

Green is a restricted free agent and the Warriors can match any outside contract offers. In 79 games last season, Green averaged 11.7 points and 8.2 rebounds.

Suns all set on $70 million deal with G Brandon Knight
by Marty Gitlin | CBSSports.com
(3:10 pm ET) What was expected now appears official: the Suns have signed guard Brandon Knight to a five-year extension worth $70 million, a source has told CBSSports.com NBA Insider Ken Berger.

Knight, who lost time late in the year to minor ankle surgery, has established himself as a standout. He averaged 17.2 points and a career-high 5.2 assists in 32 minutes per game last season. He hit a career-best 38.9 percent from beyond the arc as well.

Kevin Love announces he's staying with Cavaliers
by Marty Gitlin | CBSSports.com
(2:57 pm ET) Free agent power forward Kevin Love has declared that he is returning to the Cavaliers.

He made that announcement on The Players Tribune.

Love, who lost most of the postseason to a shoulder injury, wrote the following:

After Game 1 of the NBA Finals, that's when it really struck me. Sitting on the sidelines, I never wanted to play in a game more than that one. I had dreamed of playing in the NBA Finals and I just wanted to help my guys win. I couldn't have been prouder of them as they poured their blood, sweat and tears onto the court.

Yeah, of course I've heard the free agency rumors. But at the end of the day, and after meeting with my teammates (it turns out pools are great meeting places) and with the front office, it was clear Cleveland was the place for me. We're all on the same page and we're all in. We have unfinished business and now it's time to get back to work.

Love, who was seen meeting with LeBron James poolside, will earn a max deal of $110 million over five years, per CBSSports.com NBA writer Matt Moore.

The Cavaliers wasted no time locking him up, quelling rumors in the process that he was headed to the Lakers or Celtics.

Love was considered by some a poor fit as a third wheel in the Cleveland offense. His average of 16.4 points per game was nearly 10 points lower than what he had achieved the previous year in Minnesota. He spent much of his time roaming beyond the arc to provide space to drive for LeBron James and Kyrie Irving.

He hit two huge shots down the stretch in a playoff defeat of Boston and seemed to be finding his niche within the offense when the shoulder injury destroyed any further opportunity to contribute.

Report: Cavs nearing deal with Tristan Thompson
by Sean d'Oliveira | CBSSports.com
(2:51 pm ET) The Cavaliers and center Tristan Thompson are closing in on a contract that would pay him more than $80 million, sources told ESPN.

Thompson is a restricted free agent and the Cavs can match any outside offers.

Report: Wizards offer Paul Pierce two-year contract
by Sean d'Oliveira | CBSSports.com
(2:43 pm ET) The Wizards offered forward Paul Pierce a two-year contract that would pay him $6.6 million next season, a source told Yahoo Sports. The deal reportedly includes a team option for the second year.

Pierce averaged 11.9 points and 4.0 rebounds in 73 games last season.

Agent makes Trail Blazers signing of SF Al-Farouq Aminu official
by Marty Gitlin | CBSSports.com
(2:35 pm ET) Agent Raymond Brothers has confirmed that free agent small forward Al-Farouq Aminu has signed with the Trail Blazers, per The Oregonian. The four-year deal is worth $30 million.

Aminu averaged 5.6 points and 4.6 rebounds in about 18 minutes per game for Dallas last season.

Report: Grizzlies nearing deal with Mo Williams
by Sean d'Oliveira | CBSSports.com
(2:35 pm ET) The Grizzlies are closing in on a deal with guard Mo Williams, a source told Bleacher Report.

The deal has yet to be finalized and is believed to be over 3-4 years. Williams averaged 14.2 points and 6.2 assists in 68 games last season.

Report: Bulls G Jimmy Butler all but set with max deal
by Marty Gitlin | CBSSports.com
(2:25 pm ET) Guard Jimmy Butler is on the verge of re-signing with the Bulls on a five-year max deal totaling $95 million with a player option after four years, league sources have told Yahoo Sports.

Butler was not expected to go elsewhere after enjoying a breakout year in Chicago.
