by Michael Hurcomb | CBSSports.com
(9:20 am ET) While the Celtics are engaged in trade discussions involving Rajon Rondo, the 28-year-old point guard is open to re-signing with at least two teams -- the Mavericks and Rockets -- a league source told CBSSports.com NBA Insider Ken Berger.

Lawson played 47 minutes in the overtime affair and was the only member of his team to see at least 40 minutes of action. He's managed six double-doubles in nine December games. Lawson is set to square off with the Clippers Friday.

Nuggets PF Kenneth Faried doubles up vs. Rockets
by R.J. White | CBSSports.com
(1:44 am ET) Nuggets power forward Kenneth Faried scored 11 points on 5 of 12 shooting and hauled in 12 rebounds in his team's 115-111 overtime loss to the Rockets Wednesday.

Faried missed one game with a back injury before returning to start Wednesday, playing 32 minutes while posting a double-double and also collecting two assists before fouling out. The double-double was just his third of the season. Faried will square off with the Clippers Friday.

Rockets PG Patrick Beverley doubles up vs. Nuggets
by R.J. White | CBSSports.com
(1:41 am ET) Rockets point guard Patrick Beverley scored 12 points on 3 of 9 shooting while racking up a season-high 12 rebounds in his team's 115-111 overtime win over the Nuggets Wednesday.

The double-double was Beverley's second in his last three games, and his season-high 46 minutes gives him at least 40 minutes of action in three of his last four games. The guard also managed five assists and three steals while managing to not turn the ball over at all. He'll square off with the Pelicans Thursday.

Rockets C Dwight Howard delivers 24-16 line vs. Nuggets
by R.J. White | CBSSports.com
(1:38 am ET) Rockets center Dwight Howard scored 24 points on 7 of 16 shooting from the field and 10 of 15 shooting from the free-throw line while grabbing 16 rebounds in his team's 115-111 overtime win over the Nuggets Wednesday.

Howard wasn't a sure bet to play coming into Wednesday going 30 minutes in his return from a knee injury Saturday, but he was able to give his team 43 minutes in the overtime win, adding four blocks and one assist to his big double-double. With a game against the Pelicans set for Thursday, it's possible the center could be given a day of rest after the heavy workload.

Rockets SG James Harden scores team-high 41 vs. Nuggets
by R.J. White | CBSSports.com

Harden delivered a triple-double against the Nuggets Saturday and came right back with another huge performance Wednesday, topping 40 points for the second time in his last three games. He also chipped in four rebounds and two assists in 45 minutes in the win, which moved the Rockets to 6-1 in December. They'll look to keep rolling Thursday against the Pelicans.

It was Jordan's first time with at least 20 rebounds this season, and he's now managed to post at least 10 rebounds in 21 of his 25 games. He also blocked two shots in his 44 minutes of action. Jordan will square off with the Nuggets Friday.
