Kevin Durant dealing with 'bad ankle sprain,' unsure of return
by Larry Hartstein | CBSSports.com
(2:30 pm ET) Thunder forward Kevin Durant, who's missing his fourth straight game Thursday, told NewsOK.com that he's dealing with a "bad ankle sprain" that prevents him from doing the basics. The injury is to the same foot he had surgery on recently, to fix a fractured bone.

"I can't play basketball. I can't run. I can't cut. I can't jump. I'm not just sitting out just because. If I could play I would play. But I can't play," Durant said.

Durant stressed that "it's not like I might have surgery or my foot is messed up. It's just I have a bad ankle sprain and it's the same foot that I had surgery on so it's kind of lingering over the top of the foot a little bit."

Asked when he'll return, Durant said he doesn't know. "It's day by day man," he said.

After Thursday's game at San Antonio, Oklahoma City hosts Charlotte on Friday and visits Dallas on Sunday.
