Magic SF Tobias Harris injures knee Thursday

(10:49 pm ET) Magic small forward Tobias Harris suffered a knee injury in the third quarter of Thursday's game against the Bucks, the Orlando Sentinel reports.

Harris was able to gut out the injury for a while but went to the locker room in the fourth quarter to be examined. He played 21 minutes off the bench, scoring seven points on just 2 of 12 shooting while tallying five rebounds and one assist Thursday. The Magic have one day off before facing the Mavericks Saturday.


Kings C DeMarcus Cousins (ankle) questionable Friday

(10:47 pm ET) Kings center DeMarcus Cousins is questionable to play Friday against the Cavaliers due to an ankle sprain.

It's a lingering issue for Cousins, who has been able to play at least 30 minutes in each of his last four games after missing a game last week. He has averaged 23.8 points and 12.3 rebounds in 32 games.

The Kings are 8 1/2-point underdogs in Cleveland Friday.


Celtics' Evan Turner misses practice Thursday, should play Friday

(10:47 pm ET) Celtics shooting guard Evan Turner did not practice Thursday, but he doesn't expect his lingering thumb injury to cost him any game action, ESPNBoston.com reports.

"It's alright," Turner told reporters after Thursday's workout. "It's getting better each day. It'll be fine... When it gets bent back, it kinda hurts a little bit. I'll be fine."

Turner initially sprained the thumb on Jan. 14 and has had it wrapped during recent games. He's averaged 10.8 points, 5.8 assists and 5.4 rebounds in 19 games as a starter.

The Celtics are 6 1/2-point home underdogs against the Rockets Friday.


Grizzlies SG Vince Carter injures foot, set for MRI

(10:44 pm ET) Grizzlies shooting guard Vince Carter suffered a foot injury in the second quarter of Thursday's matchup with the Nuggets and did not return.

Carter had to hop to the bench after suffering the injury and was unable to put any pressure on his left foot. He was helped back to the locker room in order to be examined. Carter had managed four points on 1 of 4 shooting in seven minutes off the bench before heading to the locker room.

Carter is set to undergo an MRI Friday to determine whether he's suffered a stress fracture or just a sprain, the Commercial Appeal reports.


Knicks' Carmelo Anthony leads the way...with 18 points

(10:43 pm ET) Knicks forward Carmelo Anthony picked up 18 points on Thursday against the Pacers.

Anthony shot 7-16 from the field, including 2-4 from beyond the arc. He sunk two of his free throws, finishing with a team-high 18 points. Aside from his shooting, Anthony wasn’t much of a factor in other facets of the game. He had one rebound, one assist and one block during the contest. 


Pacers PF Lavoy Allen (knee) out Thursday vs. Knicks

(10:43 pm ET) Pacers power forward Lavoy Allen suffered a sore right knee in Thursday's game against the Knicks and did not return.

Allen suffered the injury in the first half of Thursday's game and was initially deemed questionable to return, but the team ruled him out at halftime. He finished with eight points on 4 of 5 shooting in nine minutes against the Knicks.

The Pacers are next scheduled to face the Kings Saturday. The team is expected to have more information on the injury Friday after further evaluation.


Pacers' Roy Hibbert picks up a double-double on Thursday

(10:42 pm ET) Pacers center Roy Hibbert posted a double-double on Thursday against the Knicks.

Hibbert shot 9-11 from the field, finishing with 18 points. He was active on the boards as well, coming up with 10 rebounds. Eight of those came on the defensive side of the court. Hibbert also managed one block and one steal during the contest. It was Hibbert’s 12th double-double this season. 


Report: Rockets C Dwight Howard to get second opinion on knee

(10:42 pm ET) Rockets center Dwight Howard will get a second opinion after being diagnosed with edema in hisi right knee, Yahoo! Sports reports.

Howard, who could miss extended time due to the knee issue, was scheduled to be evaluated further after undergoing an MRI Wednesday. He'll stay behind when the team travels for a two-game road trip this weekend. Howard has averaged 16.3 points and 11.0 rebounds in 32 games.


Grizzlies PG Mike Conley (wrist) out Thursday

(10:42 pm ET) Grizzlies point guard Mike Conley (wrist) was ruled out for Thursday's game against the Nuggets.

Conley was considered a gametime decision for Thursday's matchup but missed his second straight game due to wrist issues. He has averaged 17.4 points and 5.6 assists in 42 games.

Beno Udrih drew the start in place of Conley.


NBA All-Star reserves selected

(10:40 pm ET) The reserves for both the Eastern Conference and Western Conference All-Star squads were announced Thursday.

In the East, Cavaliers guard Kyrie Irving, Bulls guard Jimmy Butler, Heat guard Dwyane Wade, Hawks guard Jeff Teague, Hawks forward Paul Millsap, Heat forward Chris Bosh and Hawks center Al Horford were selected to the All-Star team.

In the West, Rockets guard James Harden, Warriors guard Klay Thompson, Thunder guard Russell Westbrook, Clippers guard Chris Paul, Thunder forward Kevin Durant, Trail Blazers forward LaMarcus Aldridge and Spurs forward Tim Duncan were named All-Star reserves.

The 2015 NBA All-Star Game will be played in New York City's Madison Square Garden on Feb. 15.
