Bucks center Larry Sanders expected to be ready next week

(5:25 pm ET) Bucks center Larry Sanders was able to get through non-contact practice Friday, according to FoxSports Wisconsin.

Sanders had an outpatient surgical procedure about a week ago that kept him sidelined for the preseason. He's expected to return in time for the regular season. 


Bucks forward Damien Inglis to be shut down six weeks

(5:22 pm ET) Bucks forward Damien Inglis will be shut down six weeks, according to FoxSports Wisconsin.

A recent CT scan showed Inglis' fractured foot has not healed properly. He was initially expected to miss a month due to the injury. 


Wizards forward Kris Humphries has stitches removed

(5:05 pm ET) Wizards forward Kris Humphries had his stitches removed Friday, according to CSN.

Humphries is coming off hand surgery, and was shooting to be ready for opening night. He has not tested out his hand yet. 


Celtics guard Rajon Rondo gets through practice Friday

(5:02 pm ET) Celtics guard Rajon Rondo was able to get through a full practice Friday, according to the Boston Globe

Rondo went through full contact practice, and experienced no setbacks. There's a chance Rondo could play Wednesday against the Nets, according to the report. 


Blazers G Blake returns Friday

(4:54 pm ET) Trail Blazers guard Steve Blake will return to the court Friday, according to the Oregonian.

Blake had been sidelined due to an illness, but is ready to return. He went through a 45-minute workout Thursday and was cleared to come back. Blake spent three straight days in bed due to the illness and is hoping to improve his stamina Friday. "The big thing is to try and get my conditioning back after laying in my bed not doing anything for three days," Blake said. 


Trail Blazers will sit LaMarcus Aldridge Friday

(4:51 pm ET) Trail Blazers forward LaMarcus Aldridge will sit Friday, according to the Oregonian

Aldridge tweaked his groin Tuesday, and will take more time to recover. The injury isn't considered serious, and the club just wants to make sure Aldridge is 100 percent for the regular season opener. "I don't think it's that serious," Aldridge said." Just trying to be cautious right now. It's a little tender, just being safe."


Report: Sixers snag PG Marquise Teague from Nets

(3:50 pm ET) The rumored deal of Nets point guard Marquis Teague to the 76ers apparently has come to fruition. ESPN is reporting Philadelphia is receiving him and a second-round pick for point guard Casper Ware. The Nets have already announced that Ware will we waived.

Ware played briefly for the Sixers at the end of last season, averaging 5.3 points in nine games.


Report: Rockets C Dwight Howard out Friday with laceration

(2:37 pm ET) A laceration on his forearm that required stitches will keep Rockets center Dwight Howard sidelined in the team's preseason finale Friday against San Antonio, according to the Houston Chronicle.

Howard has also been dealing with knee issues in training camp. The team opens its regular season Tuesday night on the road against the Lakers, his former team.


Jarell Eddie lands with Celtics

Eddie played at Virginia Tech.


Report: PF Jason Maxiell earns roster spot with Hornets

(2:30 pm ET) Steve Clifford has confirmed that power forward Jason Maxiell has secured a roster spot for the Hornets, the Charlotte Observer is reporting.

The 31-year-old Maxiell suffered through a poor 2013-14 season with Orlando, which waived him in July. But he had been a stalwart for Detroit in previous seasons.
