Jazz C Rudy Gobert scores career-high 20 points vs. Nuggets

(4/1/2015) Jazz center Rudy Gobert scored a career-high 20 points on 7 of 7 shooting while hauling in 12 rebounds in his team's 98-84 win over the Nuggets Wednesday.

It was the sixth straight double-double for Gobert, who had made 60.7 percent of his shots coming into Wednesday's game before going perfect from the field against the Nuggets. He also kicked in two assists, two blocks and one steal in 30 minutes.

The Jazz bring a three-game winning streak into Saturday's matchup with the Suns in Phoenix.


Nuggets' Kenneth Faried scores 19 in double-double Wednesday

(4/1/2015) Nuggets power forward Kenneth Faried scored a team-high 19 points on 7 of 13 shooting while hauling in 10 rebounds in his team's 98-84 loss to the Jazz Wednesday.

Faried went through a four-game stretch without reaching double digits in rebounds but has now put togethe back-to-back double-doubles in a pair of Nuggets losses. He also blocked one shot in 27 minutes of action Wednesday.

The Nuggets will match up with the Spurs in San Antonio Friday.


X-rays negative on Bulls SG Kirk Hinrich's knee

(4/1/2015) X-rays on the injured knee of Bulls shooting guard Kirk Hinrich have come back clean, the Chicago Tribune reports.

Hinrich was removed from Wednesday's game and did not return, ending the game with just 10 minutes played off the bench. He is set to be re-evaluated Thursday.


Celtics forward Kelly Olynyk plays despite nasty black eye

(4/1/2015) Celtics forward Kelly Olynyk was not supposed to play Wednesday after taking an elbow to the eye in pregame warmups. The forward was considered doubtful, but managed to play through it, scoring 19 points on 7 of 10 shooting from the field, including 3 of 4 from 3-point range, in Boston's 100-87 win over the Pacers.

''He felt OK,'' coach Brad Stevens said after the game, per the Associated Press. ''It was more of a vision thing; how well could he see? He was saying he could see pretty well and the doctors felt pretty good about him playing. They stitched him up. I think it looked a little worse than it felt. I think that's an obvious statement.''

Olynyk added two rebounds and two assists to his totals. It was his third straight game scoring in double figures.


Bucks' Michael Carter-Williams posts double-double in win

(4/1/2015) Bucks point guard Michael Carter-Williams scored 21 points on 9 of 19 shooting from the field in Milwaukee's 95-91 win over the Bulls Wednesday.

Carter-Williams also pulled down 10 rebounds, leading to his first double-double since joining the Bucks and 11th overall on the year. Carter-Williams added two assists and one steal to his totals.


Kings' DeMarcus Cousins posts triple-double in loss to Rockets

(4/1/2015) Kings center DeMarcus Cousins posted a triple double in Wednesday night's 115-111 loss to the Rockets. 

Cousins scored 24 points, 21 rebounds and 10 assists in the game. He went 11 of 25 from the field and made 2 of 6 free throws. He also had six blocks and three steals in 39 minutes of playing time. Cousins played this game after sitting Monday out to rest. 

This is Cousins' first triple-double of the season and the second of his career. 


Bulls guard Jimmy Butler scores 25 points in losing effort

(4/1/2015) Bulls shooting guard Jimmy Butler scored 25 points on 8 of 18 shooting from the field, including 1 of 4 from 3-point range, in Chicago's 95-91 loss to the Bucks Wednesday.

Butler added seven rebounds and two assists to his totals in the contest. It was Butler's second game in his last four games scoring over 20 points, where he is averaging 21.3 points per game.


Thunder's Westbrook scores 31 in triple-double vs. Mavericks

(4/1/2015) Thunder point guard Russell Westbrook scored 31 points on 10 of 32 shooting while racking up 11 rebounds and 11 assists in his team's 135-131 loss to the Mavericks Wednesday.

It was the 10th triple-double of the season for Westbrook, who also turned the ball over six times Wednesday while recording one steal and making just two of his 11 attempts from 3-point range. He'll match up with the Grizzlies Friday.


Thunder C Enes Kanter scores career-high 30 vs. Mavericks

(4/1/2015) Thunder center Enes Kanter scored a career-high 30 points on 9 of 13 shooting while hauling in 16 rebounds in his team's 135-131 loss to the Mavericks.

Kanter's previous best came in mid-December when he scored 29 points against the Hornets, but he was able to surpass that mark by going 11 for 12 from the free-throw line Wednesday. He also chipped in one assist and one block in 38 minutes.

The Thunder will square off against the Grizzlies Friday.


Rockets' James Harden scores career-high 51 in win over Kings

(4/1/2015) Rockets guard James Harden notched a new career-high with 51 points in Wednesday's 115-111 win over the Kings. 

Harden made 16 of 25 shots from the field and sank 11 of 13 free throws. Harden made 8 of 9 of his attempts from behind the arc. He also tallied eight rebounds and six assists but committed seven turnovers. 

Harden's previous career-high was 50, which he posted against the Nuggets on March 19. 

Harden joined Rockets players three former Rockets players as the only ones in team history to score 50 points twice in the same season — Hakeem Olajuwon, Moses Malone and Elvin Hayes. All three of those former NBA athletes are Hall of Famers.
