Knicks' Andrea Bargnani without timetable for return
by R.J. White | CBSSports.com
(3:24 pm ET) Knicks center Andrea Bargnani is without a timetable for return after straining a calf muscle in a workout Friday, the New York Daily News reports.

"We just have to remain patient," coach Derek Fisher said. "It’s been tough for him ever since he’s been here."

Bargnani missed the first 13 games of the season with a hamstring injury before sitting out Saturday with the calf issue.

by R.J. White | CBSSports.com

Wizards' Otto Porter: Hamstring injury is 'nothing serious'
by R.J. White | CBSSports.com
(3:18 pm ET) Wizards small forward Otto Porter said Sunday that the hamstring issue that caused him to miss Saturday's game is minor, the Washington Post reports.

"Just a lot of soreness today," Porter said. "I didn’t want to make it into a big injury. We wanted to catch it before it got serious."

He believes the injury, which he sustained Friday, stems from fatigue and dehydration and plans to focus on consuming fluids Sunday.

"I’ve been through injuries before so I knew from the start it wasn’t nothing serious," Porter said.  "And me not playing the next day definitely helped the recovery process."

Bulls' Thibodeau: Derrick Rose moving better
by R.J. White | CBSSports.com
(3:12 pm ET) Bulls coach Tom Thibodeau indicated Sunday that point guard Derrick Rose is moving better, the Chicago Tribune reports.

"Hopefully he’ll get to a point where he can string some games together," Thibodeau said. "And when that happens, the rust will come off. From what we’ve seen thus far when he’s been out there, he has looked great. We just have to get him out there."

Rose has missed four straight games with a strained hamstring that has only allowed him to play five of his team's 13 games this season.

Bulls PF Pau Gasol expects to play Monday
by R.J. White | CBSSports.com
(3:10 pm ET) Bulls power forward Pau Gasol said Sunday that his chances of playing in Monday's game in Utah are "pretty high," the Chicago Tribune reports. He has been sidelined for three straight games while nursing a calf strain.

Bulls send Taj Gibson to Chicago for evaluation
by R.J. White | CBSSports.com
(3:08 pm ET) Bulls power forward Taj Gibson (ankle) has been sent back to Chicago to be examined by team doctors, the Chicago Tribune reports. Gibson sprained his ankle for the third time in seven months Friday.

"The encouraging thing is there was not much swelling," coach Tom Thibodeau said. "I don’t want to play doctor. Dr. (Brian) Cole will make that determination."

Gibson is set to miss Monday and Tuesday action at the very least, and Thibodeau said that it hasn't been decided if the power forward will meet the team in Boston for Friday's game.

76ers PF Nerlens Noel: 'I'm feeling a lot more confident'
by R.J. White | CBSSports.com
(12:34 am ET) 76ers power forward Nerlens Noel delivered season highs of 17 points and 12 rebounds Saturday and expressed confidence in his play after the game.

''I am really starting to feel like my legs are under me now,'' Noel told the Associated Press. ''(After) not playing basketball in so long, I am already starting to feel my timing is a lot better and I'm feeling a lot more confident.''

''That was Nerlens' best game. So everybody in Philadelphia is seeing what we're seeing. It's slow but it's coming,'' coach Brett Brown said.

Noel will look to build on the excellent outing Monday when the 76ers host the Blazers.

Jazz PG Trey Burke scores season-high 20 vs. Pelicans
by R.J. White | CBSSports.com
(12:25 am ET) Jazz point guard Trey Burke scored a season-high 20 points on 8 of 12 shooting, including 2 of 5 shooting from three-point range, in his team's 106-94 loss to the Pelicans Saturday.

Burke was just 1 of 8 from the field in a two-point outing Friday but bounced back big on night later. He also managed to tally four assists and one block in 34 minutes Saturday. Burke will try and build on the excellent performance Monday against the Bulls.

Spurs SF Danny Green scores season-high 21 vs. Nets
by R.J. White | CBSSports.com
(12:20 am ET) Spurs small forward Danny Green scored a season-high 21 points on 8 of 10 shooting, including 5 of 7 shooting from behind the arc, in his team's 99-87 win over the Nets Saturday.

Green also set a season-high scoring mark Friday by putting up 18 points in Minnesota but topped that performance Saturday, making a season-best 80 percent of his shots and sinking five three-pointers for the first time this season. He also racked up seven rebounds, three blocks and two assists in 33 minutes off the bench. Green will look to stay hot Wednesday against the Pacers.
