Lakers SG Wayne Ellington suffers mild right shoulder separation

(1:16 am ET) Lakers shooting guard Wayne Ellington suffered a mild right shoulder separation on a late collision in Wednesday's loss to the Pelicans, the Los Angeles Daily News reports.

Ellington said after the game, in which he scored 11 points on 4 of 10 shooting, that his shoulder was sore, but he's optimistic the injury would heal on its own without the need for surgery. He will be re-evaluated Thursday.


Lakers' Jordan Clarkson doubles up vs. Pelicans

(12:52 am ET) Lakers point guard Jordan Clarkson scored 18 points on 7 of 9 shooting while dishing out 10 assists in his team's 113-92 loss to the Pelicans Wednesday.

The double-double was the second in a row for Clarkson after not recording one before Monday's game. He also grabbed seven rebounds in 31 minutes in the loss.

The Lakers will square off with the Blazers Friday.


Pelicans PF Anthony Davis scores team-high 20 vs. Lakers

(12:48 am ET) Pelicans power forward Anthony Davis scored a team-high 20 points on 9 of 15 shooting in his team's 113-92 win over the Lakers in Los Angeles Wednesday.

Davis has rattled off seven straight games with at least 20 points, and the Pelicans are on a three-game winning streak after Wednesday's blowout win. He also racked up seven rebounds, six assists, four blocks and one steal in 35 minutes against the Lakers.

The Pelicans will move ahead to face the Kings in Sacramento Friday.


Blazers PG Damian Lillard doubles up vs. Clippers

(12:44 am ET) Trail Blazers point guard Damian Lillard scored 18 points on 7 of 14 shooting while dishing out 10 assists in his team's 126-122 loss to the Clippers Wednesday.

The double-double was just Lillard's second since the All-Star break, though he's managed to rack up at least 10 assists in three of his last five games. He also grabbed three rebounds in 36 minutes in the loss, which brought the Blazers' four-game winning streak to an end.

Portland will face another Los Angeles team next, hitting the road to match up with the Lakers Friday.


Clippers PG Chris Paul scores season-high 41 vs. Blazers

(12:40 am ET) Clippers point guard Chris Paul scored a season-high 41 points on 13 of 21 shooting, including 5 of 9 shooting from 3-point range, while dishing out 17 assists in his team's 126-122 win over the Blazers Wednesday.

Paul matched his season high in assists while posting his best scoring performance of the season, leading the Clippers to a win despite entering halftime down 13 points. The point guard also kicked in five rebounds and four steals in 39 minutes.

The Clippers will match up with the Nuggets Saturday.


Jazz C Rudy Gobert scores career-high 20 points vs. Nuggets

(4/1/2015) Jazz center Rudy Gobert scored a career-high 20 points on 7 of 7 shooting while hauling in 12 rebounds in his team's 98-84 win over the Nuggets Wednesday.

It was the sixth straight double-double for Gobert, who had made 60.7 percent of his shots coming into Wednesday's game before going perfect from the field against the Nuggets. He also kicked in two assists, two blocks and one steal in 30 minutes.

The Jazz bring a three-game winning streak into Saturday's matchup with the Suns in Phoenix.


Nuggets' Kenneth Faried scores 19 in double-double Wednesday

(4/1/2015) Nuggets power forward Kenneth Faried scored a team-high 19 points on 7 of 13 shooting while hauling in 10 rebounds in his team's 98-84 loss to the Jazz Wednesday.

Faried went through a four-game stretch without reaching double digits in rebounds but has now put togethe back-to-back double-doubles in a pair of Nuggets losses. He also blocked one shot in 27 minutes of action Wednesday.

The Nuggets will match up with the Spurs in San Antonio Friday.


X-rays negative on Bulls SG Kirk Hinrich's knee

(4/1/2015) X-rays on the injured knee of Bulls shooting guard Kirk Hinrich have come back clean, the Chicago Tribune reports.

Hinrich was removed from Wednesday's game and did not return, ending the game with just 10 minutes played off the bench. He is set to be re-evaluated Thursday.


Celtics forward Kelly Olynyk plays despite nasty black eye

(4/1/2015) Celtics forward Kelly Olynyk was not supposed to play Wednesday after taking an elbow to the eye in pregame warmups. The forward was considered doubtful, but managed to play through it, scoring 19 points on 7 of 10 shooting from the field, including 3 of 4 from 3-point range, in Boston's 100-87 win over the Pacers.

''He felt OK,'' coach Brad Stevens said after the game, per the Associated Press. ''It was more of a vision thing; how well could he see? He was saying he could see pretty well and the doctors felt pretty good about him playing. They stitched him up. I think it looked a little worse than it felt. I think that's an obvious statement.''

Olynyk added two rebounds and two assists to his totals. It was his third straight game scoring in double figures.


Bucks' Michael Carter-Williams posts double-double in win

(4/1/2015) Bucks point guard Michael Carter-Williams scored 21 points on 9 of 19 shooting from the field in Milwaukee's 95-91 win over the Bulls Wednesday.

Carter-Williams also pulled down 10 rebounds, leading to his first double-double since joining the Bucks and 11th overall on the year. Carter-Williams added two assists and one steal to his totals.
