Clippers SG J.J. Redick (back) ruled out Wednesday

(8:09 pm ET) Clippers shooting guard J.J. Redick has been ruled out for Wednesday's game against the Jazz due to back spasms, the Orange County Register reports.

Redick played just 19 minutes Monday, seeing his lowest amount of playing time in January, while scoring just six points on 2 of 10 shooting. He has averaged 14.9 points on 46 .8 percent shooting in 45 games.

The Clippers are 7-point favorites in Utah Wednesday.


Ognjen Kuzmic recalled from NBADL

(7:52 pm ET) The Warriors have recalled center Ognjen Kuzmic from the NBA Developmental League, the San Jose Mercury News reports.

Kuzmic has averaged 8.5 points and 10.5 rebounds in 10 D-League games. He takes the roster spot of Festus Ezeli, who has been assigned to the D-League to work on his conditioning.

(7:48 pm ET) Warriors center Festus Ezeli has been assigned to Santa Cruz of the NBA Developmental League, the San Jose Mercury News reports.

Ezeli, who requested the assignment, has been sidelined since Dec. 23 due to an ankle injury. He'll have the opportunity to work on his conditioning and get into game shape in the D-League. Ezeli has averaged 4.3 points and 3.0 rebounds in 21 games.


Pelicans PG Tyreke Evans (illness) in starting lineup Wednesday

(7:37 pm ET) Pelicans point guard Tyreke Evans (illness) is in the starting lineup for Wednesday's game against the Nuggets, The Times-Picayune reports.

Evans was probable to play Wednesday but was considered a gametime decision. He has averaged 17.0 points, 5.6 assists and 5.3 rebounds in 44 games.

The Pelicans are 5 1/2-point favorites at home against the Nuggets Wednesday.

(7:16 pm ET) Pelicans point guard Tyreke Evans is a gametime decision for Wednesday's game against the Nuggets due to illness, but coach Monty Williams expects him to play, the Times-Picayune reports.

Evans was listed as probable for Wednesday's game and will be looking to bounce back after scoring just six points on Monday. He has averaged 17.0 points, 5.6 assists and 5.3 rebounds in 44 games.

The Pelicans are 6-point favorites against the Nuggets Wednesday.


Cavaliers recall Joe Harris from NBADL

(7:12 pm ET) The Cavaliers recalled guard Joe Harris from Canton of the NBA Developmental League Wednesday. Harris, who was sent to the D-League Tuesday, has averaged 2.8 points and 11.1 minutes in 35 games with the Cavaliers.

Report: Nuggets C JaVale McGee active Wednesday

(7:09 pm ET) Nuggets center JaVale McGee will be active for Wednesday's game against the Pelicans, the Denver Post reports.

McGee has been sidelined since Dec. 5 due to a tibia injury, but he was able to return to practice last week. He has averaged 5.4 points and 3.0 rebounds in 14 games.

The Nuggets are 6-point underdogs in New Orleans Wednesday.


Timberwolves' Ricky Rubio could return next week

(7:05 pm ET) Timberwolves guard Ricky Rubio could return at some point next week, according to the Star Tribune

Rubio has been sidelined since November 7 due to an ankle injury. He's been able to make progress, and is nearing a return. Coach Flip Saunders said Rubio could make his return at some point next week. Rubio was averaging 9.4 points and 10.0 assists per game prior to the injury.


Timberwolves SG Kevin Martin set to return Wednesday

(6:50 pm ET) Timberwolves coach Flip Saunders confirmed shooting guard Kevin Martin will make his return Wednesday against the Celtics, the team announced.

Martin has been out 34 games due to a fractured right wrist, last playing on Nov. 19. He will come off the bench Wednesday, and Saunders is unsure how many minutes the shooting guard will receive. Martin has averaged 20.4 points in nine games.

The Timberwolves are 4 1/2-point underdogs at home against the Celtics Wednesday.


Cavaliers' LeBron James (wrist) out Wednesday

(6:44 pm ET) Cavaliers small forward LeBron James will not play in Wednesday's game against the Blazers due to a wrist injury, the Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.

James, who was a gametime decision for Wednesday, fell hard on his right wrist Tuesday. He said it was fine after the game, but experienced soreness Wednesday, leading to his questionable status for the matchup with the Blazers. He's also considered doubtful for Friday's game against the Kings, the Elyria Chronicle-Telegram reports.

The Cavaliers are 5 1/2-point favorite at home Wednesday.
