by R.J. White | CBSSports.com
(7:01 pm ET) Spurs forward Matt Bonner (illness) and guard Cory Joseph (ankle) will join center Tiago Splitter (calf) and guard Patty Mills (shoulder) on the sidelines Saturday, as all four players have been ruled out.

Bonner and Joseph were deemed doubtful for Saturday's game, so their absence doesn't come as a surprise. Marco Belinelli, who was listed as questionable, is a gametime decision for the matchup against the Nets.

(6:29 pm ET) The Rockets confirmed center Dwight Howard will be held out of Saturday’s game against Dallas.

This will be Howard’s second consecutive game he has missed while dealing with a knee sprain. He recently underwent platelet rich protein therapy to alleviate the injury. The Rockets next play Monday against the Knicks.

Celtics C Vitor Faverani gives update on knee
by R.J. White | CBSSports.com
(6:25 pm ET) Celtics center Vitor Faverani said Saturday that he feels "100 percent better" than he did before having surgery on his injured knee but remains very limited in what he can do on the knee, Celtics.com reports.

"My knee’s looking very nice. I’ve recovered my muscles in my leg," Faverani also said. "We’re just taking time to jump on the court. I don’t want the same thing to happen again, to work and then get back to playing before I can. I don’t want to injure it again."

Faverani was initially expected to miss six-to-eight weeks while recovering, but that window is coming to the close and he doesn't appear close to getting back on the court. He said that no timeframes have been discussed with the team doctors.

Heat G Norris Cole a no-go vs. Orlando
by Igor Mello | CBSSports.com
(5:44 pm ET) As expected, the Heat will be without point guard Norris Cole on Saturday night against Orlando because of a dislocated finger, per Orlando's official website.

Cole sustained the injury to his non-shooting hand on Thursday against the Clippers and was listed as doubtful leading up to Saturday. He is averaging 7.4 points, 3.5 assists and 2.1 rebounds while shooting 41.7 percent from the field through 12 games.

His next chance to return will come Sunday against Charlotte.
