Spurs PG Patty Mills making progess, targeting January return

(8:01 pm ET) Spurs point guard Patty Mills (shoulder) has progressed to contact work and was able to participate in the team's full shootaround Wednesday, the San Antonio Express-News reports.

Mills is still on track to make his return to action in January, coach Gregg Popovich said Wednesday. The point guard has yet to play this season while recovering from surgery on his right shoulder.


Magic SG Evan Fournier (face) in lineup Wednesday

(7:28 pm ET) Magic shooting guard Evan Fournier is in the starting lineup for Wednesday's game against the Celtics.

Fournier took an elbow to the face Monday but was able to practice Tuesday. He should be able to fill his regular role for the Magic Wednesday. Fournier has averaged 14.4 points on 44.9 shooting in 26 games.


Mavericks PG Raymond Felton remains sidelined Wednesday

(7:24 pm ET) Mavericks point guard Raymond Felton will not play Wednesday as he continues to recover from a right ankle injury, the team announced. Felton has yet to take the court in a game this season.

Grizzlies SG Tony Allen (eye) ruled out Wednesday

(7:22 pm ET) Grizzlies shooting guard Tony Allen will not play in Wednesday's game against the Spurs due to an eye injury, the Commercial Appeal reports.

Allen was poked in the eye in Tuesday's win and will miss at least one game while recovering from the injury. He has averaged 7.7 points, 4.2 rebounds and 2.0 steals in 22 games.


Bucks' O.J. Mayo in, Johnny O'Bryant questionable Wednesday

(7:16 pm ET) Bucks guard O.J. Mayo is not on the injury report for Wednesday's game against the Blazers  after suffering a hamstring injury in Monday's win in Phoenix. Power forward Johnny O'Bryant is questionable to play Wednesday with a knee sprain.

Mayo was able to return Monday after suffering the injury and play a total of 25 minutes while scoring 12 points. O'Bryant has yet to play this season while recovering from his knee sprain.


Heat PF Chris Andersen draws start Wednesday

(7:09 pm ET) Heat power forward Chris Andersen will be making his first career start for the Heat Wednesday against the Jazz.

The Heat will be without Chris Bosh (ankle) and Josh McRoberts (knee) Wednesday. Andersen has played 125 regular-season games with the Heat as a reserve, averaging 5.7 points and 4.7 rebounds in 17.6 minutes per game.


Agent: Pistons' Greg Monroe not seeking trade

(6:48 pm ET) The agent for Pistons power forward Greg Monroe said Wednesday that his client is not seeking a trade, USA Today Sports reports.

"[Monroe] does not want a trade," agent David Falk said. "He wants to honor his commitment to Stan and give it the year and evaluate everything at the end of the season."

Teams have shown interest in acquiring Monroe from the Pistons, but they would need Monroe's approval before trading him due to his acceptance of a one-year qualifying offer this summer. He has averaged 15.0 points and 9.1 rebounds in 23 games.


Nets PF Kevin Garnett out Wednesday vs. Raptors

(6:41 pm ET) Nets power forward Kevin Garnett will not play in Wednesday's game against the Raptors, The Record reports.

Garnett is likely just receiving a night of rest after playing Tuesday, as he did during the second half of his team's last back-to-back Saturday. Alan Anderson and Mirza Teletovic will join Deron Williams, Joe Johnson and Mason Plumlee in the starting lineup Wednesday.


Warriors' David Lee, Andrew Bogut ruled out Thursday

(6:33 pm ET) Warriors centers David Lee and Andrew Bogut have been listed as out for Thursday's game against the Thunder, the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Lee, who is dealing with a hamstring injury, has played just once this year. Bogut has missed the last four games with a knee issue. Festus Ezeli will likely continue to start at center for the Warriors with both players sidelined.


Report: Jazz PF Derrick Favors set to return Wednesday

(6:19 pm ET) Jazz power forward Derrick Favors will play Wednesday against the Heat, the Salt Lake Tribune reports.

Favors has missed the last two games while recovering from an ankle injury. He's averaged 15.6 points and 8.2 rebounds in 22 games. His return will move Rudy Gobert back to a reserve role.
