Foye efficient from downtown : While Jazz guard Randy Foye struggled with his overall production this season, he remained a steady force from behind the arc. Foye set career highs in attempts (434) and makes (178) from downtown this season as he was asked to spend most of his time on the court lurking behind the 3-point line. However, Foye insists he is more than just a 3-point specialist. Im not just a 3-point shooter, but thats one of my strengths, Foye told the Salt Lake Tribune I felt as though thats what (the Jazz) needed, and I tried to help them get there. (Updated 4/20/13) |

| Fantasy Analysis |
While Foye has always been considered a decent 3-point shooter, he was especially productive from behind the arc this year. In fact, the 29-year-old averaged a career-best 2.2 made treys per game and his 178 total makes on the year were a franchise record. However, Foye didn't bring much else to the table other than his 3-point shooting this season. He averaged just 16.3 Fantasy points per week in all standard formats and is slated to be an unrestricted free agent over the summer. Fantasy owners should keep an eye on where Foye lands. Still, only owners in deeper Rotisserie formats should plan on targeting the Foye in the later rounds of draft formats next fall. (Updated 4/20/13). |

| After spending the last two seasons in Los Angeles, Randy Foye signed with the Jazz in the offseason. The 28-year-old averaged 11.0 points, 2.2 rebounds and 2.1 assists in his final year with the Clippers while seeing time as a starter and a reserve. While he failed to make 40 percent of his shots from the field for the second straight season, Foye drained 38.6 percent of his shots from downtown and averaged a career-best two made 3 pointers per contest, which ranked 14th in the league. He will likely come off the bench -- at least in the early portion of the season -- and could be one of the first players subbed in and will be used at both guard positions. We would expect him to see somewhere close to 25-30 minutes per game most nights, which is what he averaged last season. While Foye is nowhere near being considered a high-end option, Fantasy owners know what to expect from the former Villanova University standout. He has scored in double-figures in five of his six years in the league and has developed into a somewhat reliable source for 3-pointers. Consider him a viable low-end option heading, worthy of a late-round pick heading into next season, especially in category-based formats. (Updated 8/22/12) |
