Gay goes for season high: Grizzlies forward Rudy Gay had arguably his finest game of the season on Wednesday against the Suns, as he put up a season-high 32 points on 13 of 20 shooting. Gay focused his efforts on getting to the rim in this game, and it paid dividends, as the athletic wing had nine of his 13 baskets come within the painted area. This also helped him on the offensive glass, as he grabbed four offensive rebounds, and seven overall, as the Grizzlies defeated the Suns, 104-93. (Updated 04/12/2012)

Fantasy Analysis
Gay had been struggling somewhat recently, averaging just 16.5 points and 5.0 rebounds per game over the last 10, so it was a great sign to see him break out on Wednesday. He will have to play better than he had been to meet expectations going into the end of the season, and it seems like a good bet that he will, so continue to consider him a high-end Fantasy option in all formats. The Memphis Grizzlies are confident, yet realistic. They've got their series with the Los Angeles Clippers back to even with a winner-take-all Game 7 on Sunday.
Rudy Gay missed the team's playoff run last season due to a separated shoulder. The injury is expected to be fully healed in time for him to be 100 percent for the 2011-12 season and that will once again make him worthy of a pick somewhere around the fifth round of most standard formats. Capable of scoring near 20 points per contest, he should also contribute around six boards and nearly two steals per game. Last season, he upped his assist average to 2.8 per game and also averaged a career-best 1.1 blocks per tilt. Count on him for at least a 3-pointer made per game as well. (Updated 8/28/11)
