Rudy Gay claiming he will increase time at PF next year
|by Marty Gitlin | CBSSports.com|
|(4:51 pm ET) Kings standout Rudy Gay has claimed on SiriusXM NBA Radio that he will be used more often at the power forward spot next year.
Gay played that position for a stretch late last season with success. The Kings went 4-1 with Gay playing the four. He averaged 22.4 points, six rebounds and 3.2 assists during that time.
Kings' Rudy Gay on DeMarcus Cousins: 'He's one of the best'
|by Ruben Palacios | Staff Writer|
|(6/10/15) Kings forward Rudy Gay is very fond of his teammate DeMarcus Cousins. He thinks he might be the best big man in the NBA, per NBA.com.
“He’s a great talent,” said Gay. “If not the best, he’s one of the best big men in the game.”
Cousins, who averaged 24.1 points, 12.7 rebounds and 3.6 assists per game this season, was an All-Star and made the All-NBA team this year. Gay believes Cousins is just starting to reach his potential as an NBA player.
“He’ll be just as great as he wants to be,” Gay said.

Report: Kings likely to shut down Cousins, Gay for final three games
|by Igor Mello | CBSSports.com|
|(4/11/15) The Kings will likely shut down center DeMarcus Cousins (foot) and forward Rudy Gay (concussion) for the final three games of the season, according to CowbellKingdom.com.
Cousins has been limited to 59 games, but has posted career high in points (24.1), rebounds (12.7) and assists (3.6) while shooting 46.7 percent from the field.
If Gay's season is over, it will be the first time he's failed to play more than 70 games in a season since 2011-12. Gay posted career highs in points (21.1) and assists (3.7). He averaged 5.9 boards and shot 45.5 percent from the field, including 35.9 percent from downtown in 68 games.
Kings' Rudy Gay out, Nik Stauskas questionable for Friday in OKC
|by Ted Leshinski | Staff Writer|
|(4/10/15) Kings forward Rudy Gay (concussion) is out while guard Nik Stauskas (back) remains questionable for Friday's game in Oklahoma City, reports CSNBayArea.com.|
Gay returned Tuesday from a three-game absence due to the concussion but sat out Wednesday's loss to the Jazz with headaches.
Stauskas also sat out Wednesday's game.
The Kings are 13.5-point underdogs in Oklahoma City.
|Sure, he gets a bad rap for being a ball hog, but Rudy Gay's shoot first, pass later attitude is what also makes him valuable in Fantasy. He finished among the top 20 at forward and even averaged a career-high 3.1 assists per game once he was traded to Sacramento. The Kings might rely even more heavily on Gay this season without Isaiah Thomas, so it's conceivable that Gay gets back up to the 18 field goal attempts per game he was attempting in Toronto. He's only 28, he plays for a bad team and he became a much more efficient player alongside DeMarcus Cousins. Getting 20 points, six rebounds and three assists per game after the second round of Fantasy drafts seems like pretty solid value for a high-usage small forward. And should he somehow improve his assists, he'll be an absolute steal.
