Gibson finally makes return : Cavaliers guard Daniel Gibson was finally able to get back on the court for Sunday's contest against the 76ers. Gibson, who had missed the past four games with a sore right elbow, finished with two points in the 91-77 loss. He went 1 of 2 from the field and also added five assists and two rebounds to his stat line, while logging 12 minutes off the bench.

| Fantasy Analysis |
Gibson's time in Cleveland may be coming to an end as he will be an unrestricted free agent over the summer. While he has expressed interest in re-signing with the Cavaliers, we aren't so sure the feeling is mutual. The 27-year-old has missed 30-plus games in each of his last two seasons and even when healthy, his production hasn't been anything to write home about. Keep an eye on where Gibson winds up over the next few months. However, we don't anticipate him having much Fantasy value heading into the 2013-14 campaign.

| Daniel Gibson only played in 35 of Cleveland's games last season and struggled in the ones he did play in. Gibson averaged 26.2 minutes per game, but had the worst shooting season of his career at just 35 percent from the field. He averaged just 7.5 points, 2.9 rebounds and 2.2 assists per game for the Cavs and those figures shouldn't really improve this season as the Cavs look to become a more exciting team. Gibson should continue to see minutes, but is nothing more than a low-end Fantasy option heading into the 2012-13 NBA season. (Updated 8/22/12) |
