Fantasy Analysis
Lowry's lack of assists is a bit worrisome, but that could be because of his elbow injury still bothering him. Still, Fantasy owners need him to produce more down the road. This is something owners should keep an eye on moving forward. Lowry is averaging 15.0 points, 6.4 assists and 1.8 steals per contest over his last five games. As long as he's on the court, Owners should view Lowry as a high-end guard option. (Updated 02/09/2012).

Kyle Lowry enjoyed his breakout NBA season in Year No. 5, flourishing under Rick Adelman. In Year 6, he will have to adapt to a new coach, but he should be able to build upon what was an eye-opening first season as an everyday starter. He averaged a well-rounded 14-7-4 stat line last season, also contributing 1.7 3-pointers made per game and 1.4 steals per tilt. His play was so promising over the long haul that the Rockets decided to trade away Aaron Brooks, clearing the path for Lowry to thrive for years to come. The 25-year-old should continue to progress in his second full season as a starter, though there is some reasonable fear of a setback given the coaching change. Consider him a safe pick somewhere around Round 5 or 6 in standard formats. (Updated 8/28/11)
