Fantasy Analysis
Redick has been a bit streaky of late for the Magic, but that is too be expected from a shooter. The 27-year-old continues to see around 20 minutes off the bench for Orlando and is averaging a career-best 10.7 points per game thus far. He is also shooting 44 percent from behind the arc, so owners in Rotisserie formats looking for help in the 3-point department, may want to think about scooping up Redick heading into Week 8 (Feb. 13-19). 02/11/2012 23:46 J-Rich scores 31 as Magic beat Bucks
Jason Richardson scored 28 of his season-high 31 points in the second half and made nine 3-pointers to lead the Orlando Magic to a 99-94 victory over the Milwaukee Bucks on Saturday night.
02/06/2012 22:08 Clips top Magic in OT; Billups hurt
Chris Paul scored 29 points, including 11 points in the fourth quarter and overtime, and the Los Angeles Clippers slipped by the Orlando Magic 107-102 on Monday night.
02/01/2012 21:53 Magic edge Wizards, snap 4-game skid
Ryan Anderson scored 23 points, including six 3-pointers, to help the Orlando Magic snap a four-game losing streak with a 109-103 victory over the Washington Wizards on Wednesday night.
J.J. Redick averaged double figures in scoring last season for the first time in his career, but just barely. While he may be one of the better pure outside shooters in the game, his playing time will seemingly always be capped at about 25 minutes per contest, barring a rash of injuries in the back court. Count on him for about 1.5 3-pointers made per game in category leagues along with high free-throw percentage, but do not invest much more than a late-round pick on this role player. (Updated 8/30/11)
