Heat keeping Chalmers-Wade-Deng-Andersen-Bosh starting lineup

by Michael Hurcomb | CBSSports.com
(12/30/14) Heat coach Erik Spoelstra said he will stay with the starting lineup of Mario Chalmers, Dwyane Wade, Luol Deng, Chris Andersen and Chris Bosh going forward, according to The Palm Beach Post. Spoelstra used the same starting lineup during a 102-101 loss Monday against the Magic.

The team's most frequent lineup this season has been Bosh, Deng, Wade, Norris Cole and Shawne Williams.

Heat SF Shawne Williams in starting lineup Saturday

by R.J. White | CBSSports.com
(12/27/14) Heat small forward Shawne Williams is in the starting lineup for Saturday's game against the Grizzlies.

Williams' status was in doubt for the game due to a sore foot. He has averaged a career-best 8.3 points and 3.9 rebounds in 30 games.

Miami is a 3 1/2-point underdog at home against Memphis.

Heat's Shawne Williams in danger of missing Memphis game

by Igor Mello | CBSSports.com
(12/27/14) Heat small forward Shawne Williams is in danger of missing Saturday's game against Memphis because of a sore foot, coach Erik Spoelstra told reporters, per the Associated Press. Williams has appeared in all 30 games this season for Miami, averaging 8.3 points and 3.9 rebounds per contest. Danny Granger could see an increase in minutes if Williams can't play.

Miami is a 2 1/2-point home underdog against Memphis.

Injuries leave Heat reeling from frontcourt injuries

by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com
(12/15/14) The Heat's post-LeBron plans were based heavily on a frontcourt tandem of Chris Bosh and Josh McRoberts, the team's two biggest signings of the free agency period. However, with Chris Bosh dealing with a calf strain and Josh McRoberts set for season-ending knee surgery, those plans have gone awry, and Fantasy owners are left to sort through the pieces.

The Heat are used to playing without McRoberts, who was just ninth on the team in minutes played through the first 23 games of the season. However, Fantasy owners were starting to get excited about his return to health, since few big men can produce quite like McRoberts does. He was averaging 4.0 assists and 1.0 3-pointers per-36 minutes, but at least the Heat have an in-house option to replace him in the form of Shawne Williams. Williams averaged 12.0 points, 5.2 rebounds and 2.6 3-pointers per game through the first 10, which McRoberts mostly missed with injuries.

Finding someone to replace Bosh will be a bigger test, though it is likely one the team won't have to deal with for too long. Bosh acknowledged his calf injury could cost him a few weeks Monday, though that seems like a worst-case scenario. For the time being, Justin Hamilton and Chris Andersen are likely to see larger roles, but neither warrants more than a cursory glance in deeper Fantasy leagues for the time being.

For Fantasy Week 8, you might want to slip Williams, Luol Deng and Mario Chalmers into your starting lineups, especially with Dwyane Wade fighting an illness. Long term, however, it remains to be seen just how the Heat will deal with these injuries.

Heat SF Shawne Williams doubles up in loss vs. Bucks

by R.J. White | CBSSports.com
(11/16/14) Heat small forward Shawne Williams scored 13 points on 5 of 9 shooting, including 3 of 6 shooting from three-point range, while grabbing a season-high 11 rebounds in his team's 91-84 loss to the Bucks Sunday.

Williams played 26 minutes in the loss and managed to sink at least three three-pointers for the seventh time in nine November games. He also committed five personal fouls for the second straight game as the Heat lost their third straight. They'll look to get back on track Monday in Brooklyn.
