Report: Bulls rule Kirk Hinrich out vs. Wizards
|by Sean d'Oliveira | CBSSports.com|
|(12/23/14) The Bulls ruled guard Kirk Hinrich out of Tuesday’s game against the Wizards, reports the Chicago Tribune.
Hinrich is suffering from a hamstring injury he sustained during Monday’s victory over the Raptors. In Hinrich’s absence, guard Aaron Brooks is expected to see an increase in playing time. In 27 games, Brooks is averaging 11.1 points and 3.1 assists.
The Bulls are 3-point underdogs.
Bulls could add another PG if Derrick Rose can't play Monday
|by Igor Mello | CBSSports.com|
|(11/22/14) The Bulls are considering adding another point guard to the active roster, if Derrick Rose is unable to return Monday against Utah, according to a report from the Chicago Tribune. Rose has appeared in only five games this season and has missed the past four games because of a hamstring injury.
Aaron Brooks is the only active point guard on the roster. Mike James and Will Bynum are both free agents with ties to coach Tom Thibodeau.
19 fourth-quarter points not enough for Aaron Brooks, Bulls
|by Igor Mello | CBSSports.com|
|(11/8/14) Bulls guard Aaron Brooks provided a spark off the bench, but it wasn't enough to erase a big deficit against the Celtics Saturday night.
Brooks, who tweaked his ankle the previous night, bounced back and scored 19 of his game-high 26 points in the final quarter. He shot 9 of 15 from the floor, including 4 of 7 from downtown, and 4 of 4 from the free throw line. Ha also chipped in with eight assists in 28 minutes after fouling out with eight seconds remaining in the fourth quarter of a 106-101 defeat.
"When you have a coach working with you instead of against you it just gives you more confidence to go out and play hard," Brooks said following the game, per ESPN Chicago.
Bulls guard Aaron Brooks tweaks ankle Friday

|(11/7/14) Bulls guard Aaron Brooks tweaked his ankle Friday against the 76ers, according to the Chicago Tribune.
Brooks injured his right ankle, but was able to stay in the game after getting it re-taped. He's hopes to play Saturday against the Celtics.
Bulls add Aaron Brooks on one-year deal
|by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com|
|(7/25/14) The Bulls officially announced the signing of free agent guard Aaron Brooks Tuesday, to a one-year deal. The deal will pay Brooks just $915,243 for the 2014-15 season.
Brooks appeared in 72 games with the Rockets and Nuggets last season, averaging 9.0 points an 3.2 assists per game. He will likely serve as the team's third-string point guard.
|Aaron Brooks will be the next point guard to get a shot at Tom Thibodeau reviving his career, as he has done with multiple players over the last few years. Of course, Brooks opens the season with Derrick Rose squarely ahead of him in the depth chart, and there is zero chance he overtakes him unless Rose suffers another injury. Brooks was productive as an injury replacement in Denver last season, averaging 11.9 points and 5.2 assists per game, and will be worth keeping an eye on in the event Rose goes down again.
