Grizzlies G Mike Conley to undergo facial surgery Monday
|by Elliott Smith | Staff Writer|
|(4/26/15) Grizzlies guard Mike Conley, already ruled out of Monday's Game 4, will travel back to Memphis and undergo facial surgery to repair multiple fractures, per TNT's Lewis Johnson.
Conley left Saturday's game and did not return after getting hit by an inadvertent elbow from the Trail Blazers' CJ McCollum during the third quarter. Beno Udrih will start for Memphis in Conley's place.
It remains unclear how much time Conley would miss after the surgery. If the Grizzlies advance to the Western Conference semifinals, they would play the Golden State Warriors.

|(4/26/15) Grizzlies point guard Mike Conley (face) is out for Monday's Game 4 in Portland and will now return to Memphis for further evaluation of the facial injury he suffered Saturday during Game 3's victory, the team has announced.
Conley left Saturday's game and did not return after getting hit by an inadvertent elbow from the Trail Blazers' CJ McCollum during the third quarter.
"He's in good spirits," Grizzlies center Marc Gasol said.
"He came in, shook everybody's hand, said a little something to everybody individually," added Grizzlies guard Courtney Lee.
Backup point guard Beno Udrih, who sat out Game 3 with an ankle injury, will play Monday and should see extended minutes as a result of Conley's unavailability.
"He's got the biggest heart," Grizzlies coach Dave Joerger said of Conley. "He's the purest-hearted guy, he's a true leader, he's a winner, will do whatever's asked of him, and what isn't asked he looks for to help the team win. It's a big blow."

Grizzlies' Mike Conley on foot injury: 'It's been rough, honestly'
|by R.J. White | CBSSports.com|
|(4/23/15) Grizzlies guard Mike Conley has remained committed to playing through the pain in his sprained right foot, despite not being able to get an injection to alleviate the pain, ESPN reports.
"If I could, I’d definitely take the shot," Conley said. "But from everything they tell me, the injury is on the one area of my foot where you can’t take an injection. Believe me: I would if I could."
Conley elaborated on the extent of the injury Wednesday.
"It’s right on the inside of the arch," Conley said. "It’s a sprain of the plantar tendon and the spring ligament, or something. All I know is it’s a tough spot to have one right now. It’s a weight-bearing injury, so any weight you put on it will make it last longer. Normally, you’d be walking around in a medical boot, immobilized and not doing anything. But I know we don’t have time for that."
Conley missed the final four games of the regular season as the team lost its grip on the No. 2 seed in the West.
"It’s been rough, honestly," Conley said. "A lot of stress because I know that at the end of the season, I wanted to be there helping us win the No. 2 spot, helping us achieve all the things we wanted to achieve, but [we] weren’t able to do that. And I felt [my injury] was a big reason we weren’t able to do that, so I’m happy being able to come back and play. That’s the most important thing."
Conley has averaged 17 points in his first two playoff games as the Grizzlies have jumped out to a 2-0 series lead.

|by Sean d'Oliveira | CBSSports.com|
|(4/22/15) Grizzlies coach Dave Joerger confirmed that guards Mike Conley and Tony Allen will be available to play in Game 2 against the Trail Blazers on Wednesday, reports The Commercial Appeal.
Conley has been dealing with a sprained right foot, but he was able to play 24 minutes in the Game 1 win. Meanwhile, Allen is suffering from a hamstring injury, which caused him to miss the last nine games of the regular season. He was able to play 25 minutes during Game 1.
The Grizzlies are 6-point favorites over the Blazers on Wednesday.
|Grizzlies guard Mike Conley is looking to build on his best shooting season entering 2014-15. Conley went from 11.8 to 14.1 attempts per game last season, which resulted in a career-high 45.0 percent of his shots made, averaging 6.3 per contest. He got off to a fast start, averaging 18.0 points and 6.3 assists over his first 43 games played before being sidelined with a sprained ankle. The injury kept him out for seven games, and when he returned, he averaged 16.0 points, 5.6 assists and 3.3 rebounds over his final 30 games. Overall, he missed 10 games this season, his highest total since he was a rookie, but he played well when healthy. He scored a career-high 17.1 points per game, while adding 2.9 rebounds, 6.1 assists and 1.5 steals in 33.4 minutes per contest. Consider him a borderline top-20 guard come Draft Day.
