Davis plays well despite ankle: Magic forward Glen Davis was able to play through an ankle injury in Saturdays playoff-opening game in Indiana, and he played well yet again while filling in for Dwight Howard. Davis scored 16 points and had 13 rebounds while battling with Pacers center Roy Hibbert, who has a huge size advantage. Davis had plenty of shots blocked in the game, however he ended up grabbing six rebounds and blocking three shots of his own, while helping the Magic pull off the road upset, 81-77. Fantasy Analysis
Davis has been playing exceptionally well in Howards place, and he more than held his own against the All-Star, Hibbert. Davis averaged 17.1 points and 10.3 rebounds in nine games filling in for Howard, and he should be able to keep up that production as the Magic continue to try to shock the Pacers. He can be considered a solid starting option in postseason Fantasy formats. (Updated 04/29/2012).

Brandon Bass saves Boston from having to face elimination in Philadelphia with a big third quarter in Game 5, Jeff Goodman says.
Following four years of serving as a key reserve in Boston, F Glen Davis will have an opportunity to start this season with his new team, the Magic. After posting a career-high 11.7 points and 5.5 rebounds per game last season, Davis was shipped to Orlando in exchange for F Brandon Bass just prior to training camp. And he could improve on that scoring mark this season. With most opponents double-teaming star C Dwight Howard, Davis could receive several looks close to the basket and providing him an opportunity to see increased production. The 25-year-old has connected on at least 43.7 percent of his attempts from the field in every season during his career. Davis has already seen his stock improve and he should be targeted in the middle rounds of most 2011-12 Fantasy drafts -- just don't let him slip too far. (Updated 12/16/11)
