Horford surprises in return: Hawks center Al Horford was a surprise participant during pregame shootaround on Sunday for Game 4 in Boston, and he was an even more surprising participant in the game itself, playing 20 minutes in his first playing time since tearing a pectoral muscle on January 11. Horford scored 12 points on 6 of 10 shooting, while grabbing five rebounds and dishing out a single assist, however he was unable to provide the Hawks with a big enough boost, as they fell, 101-79. Fantasy Analysis
Horford had already been declared out for the series by the team, however he made a quicker return than expected. He should return to the starting lineup for Tuesdays Game 5, as the team will need all hands on deck to avoid elimination, so consider him a solid Fantasy option for postseason formats. 05/11/2012 18:32 NBA: Foul call incorrect late in decisive BOS-ATL game
The NBA says a foul against Boston with 3.1 seconds left in Atlanta's season-ending loss on Thursday should have been called sooner, which would have given the Hawks a free throw instead of just the ball out of bounds.

05/11/2012 02:41 Hawks-Celtics Game 6: Hawks continue their stay in purgatory
The Atlanta Hawks lost Game 6 Thursday to the Celtics. Where will they go from here? Never improving, never declining, the Hawks will likely remain an Eastern Conference prop stuck in purgatory.
Horford once again established himself among the elite Fantasy options at the center position last season. Not only did he average over nine rebounds and a block a game for the third straight season, the 25-year-old also improved his offensive production during his fourth year in the league, averaging 15.3 ppg while shooting a whopping 55.7 percent from the floor. Both were career highs for Horford, who has now been able to increase his scoring output in each of his first four seasons. He has reportedly been working on his post game this offseason, so there is no reason to think that trend won't continue moving forward. Horford could also finally get some run at power forward next season with the Hawks drafting rookie Keith Benson, which should matchup him up against smaller defenders. No matter where Horford ends up playing, Fantasy owners know what they are going to get from the former University of Florida standout. A solid big man, who shoots the ball well, stays healthy and still has upside. That makes Horford a very safe pick in the early rounds in either Head-to-Head or category-based leagues as a No. 1 center. (Updated 8/23/11)
