Landry losing his hold: For the fourth time in five games, Warriors forward Carl Landry played fewer than 20 minutes Wednesday against the Pistons Wednesday. Landry scored just four points on 2 of 4 shooting, with three rebounds and three assists. It is not hard to see why the Warriors played him so sparingly; they were outscored by 15 points in his limited playing time, in a 105-97 win. (Updated 3/14/13) |

| Fantasy Analysis |
Landry played a huge role for the Warriors early in the season, but he has been fading recently. He scored 18 points last Saturday, but that was his only double-digit scoring game in the last five. He is averaging 5.2 points and 5.2 rebounds per game over the last five, while playing 16.0 minutes on average. Landry averaged single figures in scoring for the first time in the month of February, and it looks like his role is not set to increase. At this point, he is not worth starting in most Fantasy formats. (Updated 3/14/13). |
| For the first time in his career, Carl Landry is entering his sixth year in the league with his fourth different team. After a season and a half with the Hornets, Landry signed a two-year deal with the Warriors. Landry averaged 12.5 points and 5.2 rebounds per game last season in just 24.4 minutes per game for New Orleans. He has proven he can be productive in a reserve role, and he should continue to see between 20 and 25 minutes per game while delivering between 10 and 15 points off the bench. He dealt with some knee injuries last season, so he should fit right in with Golden State’s injury-prone roster. Landry remains a solid low-end Fantasy option, worth targeting in the later rounds on Draft Day. (Updated 10/14/12) |
