Noah unable to return for finale: Bulls center Joakim Noah participated in shootaround and was active for Thursdays Game 6 against the 76ers, however with the Bulls on the verge of elimination, he was unable to play through a severely sprained left ankle. The Bulls would go on to lose the game, thus ending their season without arguably their two best players, as Derrick Rose was also out after undergoing knee surgery. The injury is not serious and is not expected to impact his status for next season. (Updated 05/11/2012)

Fantasy Analysis
Noah took a small step back across the board this season, as his minutes fell back from 32.8 per game to 30.4. He posted slightly lower point, rebound and block totals than each of his previous two seasons, as the Bulls began to rely a little more on their expanding bench. Despite that, Noah remained a solid high-end No. 2 Fantasy center all season long, and should be targeted with an early to mid-round pick on Draft Day. (Updated 05/11/2012).

The 76ers beat the Chicago Bulls Thursday night to advance to the Eastern Conference Semi-Finals against the Boston Celtics. They won against the Bulls without Derrick Rose. What do they take away?
05/10/2012 22:06 Sixers knock out Bulls with improbable finish
The 76ers have knocked off the top seed in the East. They're advancing to the second round for the first time since 2003. But my goodness, did it happen in a strange way.
Despite being limited to just 48 games a season ago, Noah took his game to the next level in 2010-11. He traded some rebounding for more offense and averaged a career-high 11.7 points per contest. He averaged more than 14 points per game before undergoing surgery on his right thumb in December and held his own after returning in February. His rebounding and prowess for always being around the loose ball also increases his chances of putting up more stats. The Bulls do not need his scoring with the likes of Derrick Rose, Luol Deng and Carlos Boozer on the squad but Fantasy owners would definitely love to see him progress as an offensive threat. Even if he doesn't, his ability to rebound, block shots and collect a couple of steals every now and then makes him an ideal candidate in Rotisserie formats. If he could ever develop a reliable jumpshot he would become more valuable in Fantasy, but Noah should still be able to average a double-double for the third straight campaign so consider him as a low-end No. 1/high-end No. 2 Fantasy C in all formats on Draft Day.
