|by R.J. White | CBSSports.com|
|(11/22/14) Pacers point guard Rodney Stuckey sprained his wrist late in Saturday's 106-83 loss to the Suns and did not return.
Stuckey fell into a cameraman on the baseline on a play and headed to the locker room before eventually being ruled out. He has just one day off before the Pacers head to Dallas. He finished with 14 points on 3 of 10 shooting along with six rebounds and one assist in 19 minutes Saturday.
Vogel: Stuckey in, Miles out for Pacers on Wednesday
|by Marty Gitlin | CBSSports.com|
|(11/19/14) Frank Vogel has reported that Pacers guard Rodney Stuckey will play Wednesday night against Charlotte despite a sore left foot. Vogel added, however, that backcourt mate C.J. Miles is set to sit with a sore right calf.
|Rodney Stuckey served capably as a sixth man for the Pistons last season, enjoying something of a resurgence while averaging 13.9 points and 2.1 assists in just 26.7 minutes per game in 73 appearance. He seems destined for a bigger role after signing with the Pacers this offseason, and he could even step into the starting lineup to replace the departed Lance Stephenson. Stephenson's departure leaves a big hole in the Pacers' offense, as they will require a boost in both scoring and playmaking. Stuckey is four years removed from a career-high 5.2 assists per game in 2010-11, but he has at least shown he can be a solid secondary playmaker at times. Stuckey could have a breakout season for Indiana, but should still probably go in the second half of most Fantasy leagues on Draft Day.
