Young still solid off bench: 76ers F Thaddeus Young combined with Lou Williams to score 38 points off the bench on Wednesday; however it wasnt enough to make up for a lackluster day from the starting five, as the Sixers fell 100-90 to the Spurs. Young scored 16 points on 8 of 11 shooting in 30 minutes while grabbing seven rebounds and four assists, tying a season high. (Updated 02/08/2012)

Fantasy Analysis
As is the case with seemingly every member of the Sixers, Young could be a very nice Fantasy option if he received consistent playing time, as he is averaging just 26.8 minutes per game. Still, he is averaging 12.4 points and 4.4 rebounds per game as is, making him a solid low-end option in most Fantasy formats. (Updated 02/08/2012).

02/04/2012 21:34 Sixers spread scoring to drop Hawks
Rookie Nikola Vucevic set a career high with 15 points to lead six Philadelphia scorers in double figures and the Sixers dodged back-to-back losses once again by beating the Atlanta Hawks 98-87 on Saturday night.
Young had a very solid bounce-back season last year for Philadelphia as he finished third in the NBA Sixth Man of the Year balloting. Young only started once last year but averaged 12.7 points, 5.3 rebounds and 1.1 steals per game over 26 minutes while playing all 82 contests. Unfortunately for Fantasy owners, it seems the bench role is one to which he’s best suited, and that certainly won’t maximize his Fantasy value. The 23-year-old should continue to be more of a role player for the Sixers with Elton Brand, Andre Iguodala, Jrue Holiday and even Evan Turner the preferred offensive weapons. At such a youthful age, Young certainly has the ability to improve his stars, but that remains to be seen. He’s going to continue to help Fantasy owners in scoring, rebounding, steals and field goal percentage and that should be good enough to target him with a late-round draft pick. Consider him just inside the top 50 Fantasy forwards on Draft Day. (Updated 8/23/11)
