Fantasy Analysis
Dudley has been much more active scoring the basketball of late for the Suns, though we don't really expect it to continue. He's been very erratic scoring the basketball this season despite seeing over 31 minutes per game on the year. Dudley hits threes, gets rebounds and is a decent scorer and that, plus his minutes, keep him viable in deeper Fantasy formats. (Updated 04/04/2012).

04/01/2012 23:52 Dudley, balanced Suns defeat Hornets
Jared Dudley scored 15 of his 21 points in the second half and the Phoenix Suns beat the weary New Orleans Hornets 92-75 on Sunday night.
Jared Dudley finally got his chance to shine late last season and may have earned himself his first chance to be looked upon as a primary option in the NBA. When Vince Carter was acquired from the Magic in exchange for Jason Richardson and fell victim to his aching knees, limiting him for much of the final two months of the season, Dudley was able to step into a more prominent role and took full advantage. He averaged 16.3 points, 5.9 rebounds, 2.2 assists and, most impressively, 2.1 steals over 15 starts. He got 34.1 minutes per game in those starts, and while he may not get that many minutes over the course of a full season, he could come close. Consider Dudley a potential late-round sleeper who could be in for a breakout season if he can follow up on his late-season performance. In category leagues, he could emerge as a premium source for 3-point shooting if he is given heavy minutes throughout the season. (Updated 8/28/11)
