Fantasy Analysis
Watson has been a necessary evil with Derrick Rose missing time with his own injury problems. The Bulls can't afford to lose Watson so they will do anything to keep him fresh. Watson has low-end Fantasy value, however, as he only contributes minimal numbers across the board. (Updated 04/04/2012).

Watson saw his Fantasy value take a serious hit in 2010-11. Backing up eventual league MVP Derrick Rose, he averaged just 4.9 points with 2.3 assists and 0.7 steals while seeing action in all 82 games. He also shot a career-low 37.1 percent from the field. But his 39.3 shooting percentage from beyond the arc made him a valuable backup off the bench and helped him post at least some kind of scoring numbers. Heading into his second season in Chicago, Fantasy owners might expect a little more production out of the 27-year-old but as long as he is a backup for Rose, his Fantasy value will be minimal. Watson will only hold value in the deepest of category-based formats in 2011-12, so plan on ignoring him for the most part on Draft Day. (Updated 8/28/11)
