Heat's Pat Riley denies he had a package deal for Nets' Brook Lopez

by Igor Mello | CBSSports.com
(1/23/15) Heat president Pat Riley denied previous reports that Miami had offered forward Josh McRoberts in a package deal for Nets center Brook Lopez, according to the Miami Herald. According to a previous report from Yahoo! Sports, Miami offered McRoberts, Norris Cole and Chris Andersen for Lopez. Trade talks for Lopez died down, but could ramp back up leading up to the trade deadline.

"There's a lot of conversation but we're not active," Riley said. "I'm not going to move chairs. I've been in the chair-moving business before and that's all you do is move chairs around…

"If there is something that makes sense that can really help us, then we would consider it. But we're not about to give up assets that we don’t have, that we need, to make a lateral move out of desperation, to take what I think is a playoff team to make the playoffs. If it's a player to take us into the future, we'll think about it. It's fluid."

Heat's Wade, Deng listed as questionable Tuesday

by Sean d'Oliveira | CBSSports.com
(1/20/15) While Heat guard Dwyane Wade was able to participate in shootaround, his status for Tuesday’s game against the Thunder is unclear.

Wade missed the last two games with a hamstring injury. Coach Erik Spoelstra said Wade responded well to the shootaround and his playing status will be a game-time decision. Guards Mario Chalmers and Norris Cole and are expected to see an increased role if Wade is out.

Forward Luol Deng was not at the team's shootaround Tuesday and is also questionable. Deng is suffering from an illness which also caused him to miss Monday's practice. Forwards James Ennis and Danny Granger could be in line for more playing if Deng cannot play.

The Heat are 7 1/2-point underdogs.

Heat guard Dwyane Wade declared out Wednesday vs. Warriors

by Sean d'Oliveira | CBSSports.com
(1/14/15) As expected, Heat coach Erik Spoelstra told reporters guard Dwyane Wade will not play in Wednesday’s game against the Warriors, reports The Palm Beach Post.

Wade previously strained his hamstring in November and missed seven games. His status for Friday’s game against the Kings has yet to be determined.

With Wade unable to play, guard Tyler Johnson could make his NBA debut. Guards Norris Cole and Mario Chalmers will also receive more playing time.

The Heat are 15-point underdogs to the Warriors.

Heat guard Dwyane Wade unlikely to play Wednesday

by Sean d'Oliveira | CBSSports.com
(1/14/15) After straining his hamstring during Tuesday's win over the Lakers, Heat guard Dwyane Wade is doubtful to play during the team’s remaining road trip, reports ESPN.com.

While Wade said he would like to play Wednesday against the Warriors, the team's trainers ultimately have the final say.

"Our trainers won't let me do anything crazy," Wade said.

Wade is considered day to day and did not rule out playing the final game of the road trip Friday at Sacramento. If Wade is unable to play, guard Tyler Johnson could make his NBA debut. Guards Norris Cole and Mario Chalmers will also receive more playing time.

The Heat are 15-point underdogs to the Warriors.

Heat keeping Chalmers-Wade-Deng-Andersen-Bosh starting lineup

by Michael Hurcomb | CBSSports.com
(12/30/14) Heat coach Erik Spoelstra said he will stay with the starting lineup of Mario Chalmers, Dwyane Wade, Luol Deng, Chris Andersen and Chris Bosh going forward, according to The Palm Beach Post. Spoelstra used the same starting lineup during a 102-101 loss Monday against the Magic.

The team's most frequent lineup this season has been Bosh, Deng, Wade, Norris Cole and Shawne Williams.
