Nuggets' Kenneth Faried in, JaVale McGee out Friday
|by R.J. White | CBSSports.com|
|(1/23/15) Nuggets power forward Kenneth Faried (illness) will play in Friday's game against the Celtics, the Denver Post reports.
Faried was dealing with flu-like symptoms Thursday, causing him to earn a "questionable" tag for Friday's game, but he's ready to roll in the home matchup. He delivered 26 points and 14 rebounds in 37 minutes in his last game.
In addition, JaVale McGee will suit up Friday but will not play against the Celtics. McGee practiced Thursday but isn't quite ready to return from a tibia injury.
The Nuggets are 6 1/2-point favorites at home against the Celtics.

Nuggets coach Brian Shaw is contemplating lineup changes
|by Sean d'Oliveira | CBSSports.com|
|(1/21/15) With the Nuggets in the midst of a four-game losing streak, coach Brian Shaw said he’s considered just about every lineup possible, including benching forward Kenneth Faried, reports The Denver Post.
"If I took Kenneth out of the starting lineup, I'd probably get egged by all the fans around here because everybody is a big Manimal fan," Shaw said.
Shaw admits he's had a hard time finding a lineup that plays consistency the entire game.
"If I started the five guys who I thought would give it to me from the beginning of the game, it would probably be the five smallest guys on our team," Shaw said.

|(1/20/15) Nuggets forward Kenneth Faried tied a season-high with 26 points on 9 of 17 shooting, including 8 of 12 from the free throw line, in Denver's 109-99 loss to the Spurs Tuesday.
It was Faried's 11th double-double of the season and his first in his last four outings. It was only the second time this month Faried has scored more than 20 points in a game.
Nuggets' Kenneth Faried doubles up on Chicago
|by Chris Cwik | CBSSports.com|
|(1/1/15) Nuggets forward Kenneth Faried posted a double-double against the Bulls on Thursday.
Faried shot 7-14 from the field. He sunk all four of his free throws, finishing with 18 points. He was active on the boards too, pulling down 19 rebounds. Twelve of those came on the defensive end of the court. He also added two steals and three blocks.
|Nuggets forward Kenneth Faried was one of three players on his team that logged 80-plus games. As a result, the team depended more on Faried to score, which gave him his best numbers of his career after the All-Star break. In his final 31 games of the season, he averaged 18.8 points, 10.1 rebounds, 1.1 steals, 0.7 blocks while shooting 54.6 percent from the field in that span. He finished the season with averages of 13.7 points, 8.6 rebounds and 0.9 blocks in 27.2 minutes per game. He also shot 54.5 percent from the floor. With the team still likely to be plagued with injuries at the start of the season, Faried could carry his second-half numbers into a breakout campaign. Target him no later than Round 7 come Draft Day.
