World Peace bad as starter too: The Lakers moved Metta World Peace into the starting lineup five games ago to see if it would provide a spark and get him playing better, however he continues to struggle, scoring just four points in 25 minutes in a 95-90 loss to the 76ers on Monday. He was 1 of 6 from the field in the game and added just two rebounds and three assists. (Updated 02/06/2012)

Fantasy Analysis
World Peace is now averaging 3.6 points per game in five starts, a step down from even the paltry 5.3 points he was scoring as a reserve. At this point in his NBA career, Fantasy owners shouldnt even consider the possibility of World Peace in any format. (Updated 02/06/2012).

02/10/2012 01:56 With time running out on Celtics-Lakers, both give us fine flashback
The young guys are coming. The aging Celtics and Lakers can feel it, which means time is of the essence. After a tough 88-87 overtime win for the Lakers, Ken Berger says this games serves as a fitting throwback.
02/09/2012 22:54 Gasol, Lakers survive Celtics in overtime
Pau Gasol blocked Ray Allen's putback attempt at the buzzer in overtime and the Los Angeles Lakers held on to beat the Boston Celtics 88-87 on Thursday night.
02/01/2012 01:13 Kobe-Bynum duo overwhelms Bobcats
Kobe Bryant scored 24 points, Andrew Bynum added 20, and the Los Angeles Lakers beat slumping Charlotte 106-73 Tuesday night, extending their home record to 11-2 and sending the Bobcats to their ninth consecutive defeat and 19th of the season.
After watching his numbers take a huge hit during his first year in Los Angeles, many felt Ron Artest would be able to bounce back heading into 2010-11. However, that was not the case, as Artest struggled in his second year in L.A. He posted career-lows in points (8.5), rebounds (3.3) and field-goal percentage (39.7). Artest almost looked confused about his offensive role at times last year, but will now be reunited with Mike Brown, who was a former assistant for the Pacers when he played there. Brown has already claimed he will ditch the triangle offense and focus more on working everything through 7-footers Andrew Bynum and Pau Gasol. That should mean more touches for Artest as the ball should move around a bit more and not sit in Kobe Bryant's hands at all times. While some think Artest is set for a bounce-back 2011-12 campaign, he should only be drafted in the later rounds of deeper formats until he proves he can once again become a productive Fantasy option.
