Brands minutes limited: With the 76ers playing on the second night of a back to back, forward Elton Brand had his minutes limited on Sunday against the Celtics. Brand played just 15 minutes in the game, after toping 30 in each of the teams previous four games. The Sixers were down big most of the way, so there was no need for Brand to play much, as he finished with six points, two rebounds and an assist in the game, which the Sixers lost, 103-79. Fantasy Analysis
Brand has struggled some with consistency this season, as he has now topped 20 points in two of his last five while scoring in single digits in the other three games. Fantasy owners know what to expect from Brand at this point, despite his inconsistencies. He is no longer the must-start Fantasy option he once was, however Brand is productive overall, making him a viable Fantasy start in most formats. (Updated 04/08/2012).
05/17/2012 00:18 Garnett delivers pain, brings playoff MVP-worthy game, attitude to Celts
When Kevin Garnett busted into the NBA he was a kid playing on Jordan's court. Ken Berger says today Garnett is hands-down the playoff MVP and maybe, just maybe, the Celtics might ride his fury to another title.

Young teams aren't built to handle collapses in the playoffs. But Jeff Goodman says the Sixers put their loss in Game 1 to good use, hitting clutch shots late to even their series with the Celtics.
While Brand certainly isn’t getting any younger, he can finally say he’s entering the 2011-12 season completely healthy for the first time since 2006-07. The 32-year-old played in and started 81 games last year, his most since 2004-05, and averaged 15 points, 8.3 rebounds and 1.3 blocks per night. Brand is never going to score as he did with the Clippers, but he’s expected to do big things for the Sixers this season after recording 24 double-doubles. Brand is not a 20-and-10 player, but Fantasy owners can finally begin targeting him early in drafts once again. We know owners will still be skeptical after getting burned in previous years, but Brand is healthy and isn’t to the point in his career where his skills are in decline. Coach Doug Collins will need him to anchor the offense down low and Jrue Holiday should be able to get him the ball enough for him to be a solid No. 2 or 3 Fantasy forward. Consider him beginning in the middle rounds of all Fantasy drafts. (Updated 8/23/11)
